Keeps me out of trouble at work by not hitting on the women there.

These days all a women has to say is you make them uncomfortable and you could be out the door.

as an older widower...I am not attracted to women my own age and I am quite comfortable on my own...grown children and grandchildren. So spending time with extraordinary gorgeous women for some time most weeks, gets the sex I need and no chase involved. I also have great taste and have been with great ones like Christina and Kathleen, and the best at the Brass

Life brightened by rapport built with various regular
MPAs which progressed to a sugar daddy/baby relationship.

Needless to say, my wallet was emptied and my
testicles were shrunk by all the extra services offered.

This is nice to hear. Some may be surprised but a lot of clients are looking for acceptance, understanding, compassion, empathy, caring etc as well as intimacy to help them feel more confident and fulfilled in life. Men are less likely to seek help from traditional therapists compared to women, so it's rather common to get a little fulfillment from a sex worker during your appointment as well. This type of human connection can really make a difference for those feeling isolated, unloved, overwhelmed, stressed, or depressed. I love seeing how happy my clients are when they leave and getting little texts or emails afterwards of how much they can't wait to see me again. That is the ultimate positive outcome, making someone else's life better while supporting myself is a lot more fulfillig than other "commision"/contractor type jobs.

+++1. Yipper,. Lots of pluses for me if you find the right lady. Its a great choice to have for those that have not found or troubles finding someone. Could be due to many things as per Charlotte's post (she is sure a smart lady!) . Other factors might be due to being too old, disabled, obese, shy, etc.

It works both ways. The hobby has also improved the lives of many Sps too. So lets all play nice.

It is not just guys who get a benefit from this. At least not in my experience.

It can and often is very therapeutic for me as well. A time to escape life's troubles for a bit. Helps to ensure I take some time for me to enjoy things for myself.

I think all people like to feel desired and wanted and that alone can help with confidence. A sexually liberated woman is usually a happier one I would think. Lol ;)

I agree w BBL's comments earlier....this life helped me enormously. In fact, I wrote a long email to Dahlia when she ran the now defunct Naughty Nuru at the end of the first year i started (cuz I pretty much only went there)- I told her how her ladies were so wonderful to me and how their graceful elegance really helped me at a number of levels. In fact I found that my PTSD nightmares would go away for like a week after a visit with Laila, Barbie, Trisha, Lina, Cleo (Knight), Jessica (Steele), or in particular Elle (Scarlett Spade) (p.s. never saw Adriana (Chambres) when she was at naughty nuru but did after she went Indy and these thoughts would apply to her too). Classy, witty, beautiful, sensual...they would just latch onto your screetching autonomic nervous system and gently bring it down, feather-like, into a cloud space of warm comfort. Yes, sure, the physical needs get met... but what put these ladies into an elite category was the full interpersonal experience. They always made me feel like they were really happy to see me and that I was the only one in the world that mattered to them during the hour or so of each visit. I am in a much better place today because of it - I drink less, I sleep better. I am forever grateful to them, and some other special ladies in this life that I've had the honour to meet.

It all depends upon whether you see hobbying as something wrong. You can view it as something subversive and full of guilt or you can view it as a healthy, private personal indulgence, totally guilt-free. And for the comments about "the right lady" - well if you were with the "right lady" (as in 100% perfect), you probably wouldn't be here. But the reality is, the perfect match is hard to find (peronality, physical and psychological attraction, views on sex, need for sex, etc). "right" vs "wrong" is NOT binary. You can be in a relationship where 80% is great but 20% is not. Or you can be in a relationship that goes through a lot of ups and downs. So hobbying can fill some of the gaps. So long as you're using purely disposable income, this is a no harm, no foul activity, IMO.

I’m probably odd, I don’t hobby for the sex… I hobby because it’s the one hour a week where I can just be myself. A therapist isn’t the same experience; if you’re comfortable with a therapist then you can open up, but they’re always in a “fixing” mental space. And there’s something about being physically naked that promotes psychological nakedness. I’ve lost track of time in MA sessions giving a massage to a lady I’ve seen multiple times and ended it without a happy ending for me, and I’m perfectly fine with that. And sometimes you get honesty back… sometimes helpful personal comments/criticism, sometimes even genuine compliments that aren’t just the provider buttering you up to come back. After a good session my mind feels clear, and it’s not just because of the physical release.

Personally, it has scratched some itches that, unattended, would have left me wildly unhappy.

Dear Penthouse, I never thought that this could happen to me ...

Above all, I have to say that this discussion is a very nice initiative and bring little of positive vibe wich we need. When I start as a courtesan, it was not simply a money issue, but urgent need for sensuality. Before, I always had the impression that I did not correspond to the beauty standarts , and, I didn't had the guts to make the first steps with the people who attracted me.

Meet people who complimented me on my physical appearance, intelligence and human capacity changed my life.Today, I feel much more comfortable about my sexuality and my artist's practice.

As Charlotte say well, for many men, beyond the sex without complications, it's often a question of acceptance and humanity. I had the privillège to share moments of rare beauty; Hold the hand of a gentleman in the discovery of their sexuality, share a sensuality buble with a person with functional limitation, Teach to a complexes man that porn is a bad indicator for average size, or simply break the routine of a man who wishes to enjoy something else than the vanilla.

Yes, i'm lucky to meet amazing human beings who made me grow and see the life of another perspective.

I started to hobby as it was the best way to deal with a void in my life. Since then, I have become a better person as I met some very strong and independent thinking women, I have explored and experimented with my sexuality and I realized that the stigma associated with sex works is mostly unfounded.

I found the company of the ladies that a visit has richened my life. I look forward to my visits and the memories that come from them.

Yes, hobbying has improve my life. Yet, the void remains. I am treating the symptoms and ignoring the cause. Such is life.

Complaints can come from anywhere in my workplace. The way harassment rules are set up, a third party can report that they think you are being inappropriate and that's enough to set the HR department on you. They don't even need the cooperation of the person who was the supposed victim. Complaints can come from ugly jealous women who are upset they aren't being flirted with, or spineless men who don't want anyone making waves in their group.
Women who are upset after a breakup regularly use the system to get back at their ex. You have to be looking over your shoulder at all times.

My friend and I both developed PTSD at the same time, he took to drinking I took to MPA's.

My friend took his life 4 years ago, I am still here now with all my demons finally sleeping, and happily married.

I wish I could have told my friend about the wonderful women of the MPA world, but society has such a taboo for the hobby, while being supportive of alcohol which does a great deal of damage.

So to answer the question it saved my life, and help me make it through one more day, and eventually was able to heal and have a happy life.

To be fair, jilted women aren't the only ones to act that way. Both men and women tend to turn into monsters during a nasty break-up, intent on inflicting as much harm on the person that "wronged them" as possible. But yes, the current climate makes that especially scary for men.

Yes, alcohol tends to be solely a temporary escape. Sorry about your friend.

MPAs, on the other hand, can be surprisingly beneficial. Yes, they're also a form of escape from reality. But they can also help develop confidence, reinforce social skills, improve bedroom performance, break up daily monotony, and so on.
