How has "hobbying" improved your life?

Not sure I'm a fan of that term buts it's the one we use here...

So have you noticed a change in your self since getting in? I've been married for a long time so my sex life before seeing any SP's was vanilla at best. I can't say my sexual knowledge increased much since my college days but since seeing SP's I've noticed I'm way more confident talking to attractive women, including intimate moments. I know I still have a lot to learn but I'm lightyears ahead of where I was not too long ago. Same goes for sexual performance as well. I'm learning and realizing how much I didn't know WRT pleasing a woman. I was always the bullied nerd growing up so I never really had to worry about women until recently. I'm pretty confident I'm getting better at it though. LOL

It's pretty disheartening to hear how some guys talk about the ladies here when the right one can do so much for you, and not just under the sheets. End mini rant. I doubt I'm the only one who's noticed this though. Curious to hear other's thoughts.

Me personally,

it's like therapy for me sometimes. Seeing my regular, is like seeing a psychiatrist. When I see her, after I'm done, it's not just sexual tension that's gone away, it's life tension. I can tell you if it weren't for my regular, the 15 years of my life (that's roughly how long I've been seeing her...lol) would have bee vastly different, and waaaay more depressing.

So to answer your question, has helped battle depression big time, as well often made me feel like I'm living the life to the fullest by fulfilling my ultimate fantasy few weeks when I see her.

At one point I did a great deal of Hobbying. Most of the encounters did not improve my life in any substantive way. Not much new in the way of different sexual experiences, but variation helped with the boredom associated with the S.O. Being in Ottawa certainly did not help matters. But, because I was doing so much of it and "found Montreal", I was lucky enough to meet some exceptional ladies who just rocked my world. Christ, they changed everything for me in the bedroom and in life. I realized how rare these girls were, and reveled in the encounters, yet from time to time felt a little down because I knew I was "never" going to have this as a staple in my life. It is just simply too hard to find, and takes so long. I look back and muse to myself about how much guys are missing who do not partake. And I have many fond, fond memories.

I was programmed to believe that the "hobby" was included in "forbidden sex." Once I broke that "taboo," it was much easier to experiment and explore several others as well. In short, it was one of my first steps in becoming much less inhibited about my own sexuality.

I think most guys on here respect the women and what they do. I also agree that it makes talking to attractive women outside the hobby as easy as talking to any women outside the hobby. I mean, the hobby is a pretty good cure for rejection. lol

This is nice to hear. Some may be surprised but a lot of clients are looking for acceptance, understanding, compassion, empathy, caring etc as well as intimacy to help them feel more confident and fulfilled in life. Men are less likely to seek help from traditional therapists compared to women, so it's rather common to get a little fulfillment from a sex worker during your appointment as well.
