Seeing that the leafs haven't beat the Sens at all this season... and were well into it, expect them to bring their best... I don't know if that means a win or not, but it should be the best of what you could expect of them against the Sens this year...

Oh, the Laffs, it's shaping up to be a great season. I hope they make the play-offs, cause the number one seed gets to play the number eight seed. I don't give a shit what happened in the past. Just like Nortel was a $120 stock, that's ancient history and it will be a long time before it happens again.

As a huge Leafs fan..
..you can do one of two things...keep living in the past and throwing around the " Can't beat us in the playoffs" line....or face the facts..the Leafs are a Jr. A team compared to the Sens. I'm realist, and see the latter.It would be one thing if the Leafs were competitive..but the last two meetings...allowing the Sens to cave their heads in..witrh no want or desire to battle....has me convinced, that unless there are some immediate changes to the Leafs..and that may include changing a coach who is too conservative for the new NHL ..that the least of the Leafs worries will be the Sens..Thier bigest worry may be getting to the post season
...a question....does anyone think that Dan McGillis, who was just cut by New Jersey..would be someone the Leafs should look at...he has a reputation for physical play and toughness...something sorely lacking on the Leafs D...

#1 and #2 reason why McCabe didn't make the core team canada selection.
1. he sucks defensively.
2. his power play game isn't a special ability he has, rather an ability of his teammates to set him up and screen the goalie (goals) or get on his rebounds(assisits). let's face it, anyone of those defencemen on team canada can shoot the puck... and as a bonus, they play great 'D' as well. therefore, when the leafs are scrambling on the PP, McCabe isn't gonna look very good.
me thinks he's just there as a political figure... something like the Queen of England... just to make him happy...
imagine what the scenario would be in Toronto if Quinn didn't make a strong case for McCabe to be on team canada... Quinn would be seen as showing a lack of confidence in McCabe and McCabe should rightly feel betrayed and should ask to be traded as a result...
