We can agree on that. However, the New York Times has a certain political agenda their newsroom pushes. It also sounds like it can cause tension for those who don't stick to the agenda 100%.
The complaints about the Times newsroom are long standing.
It's social media "discipline" is pretty well known.
That Sulzberger has some very specific views about the country, his paper, and his importance seems pretty clear.
