There's nothing really to disagree with your post except that the economy is always a top political issue. Rolling with it as it comes is quite an understatement.Outside factors are always going to play a role.
Job numbers, tensions getting worse or better in the middle east, China doing something dramatic, etc.
Not much to be done about that except roll with them as they come.
Inflation was something that hit everyone differently. Generally, lower income American were hit harder while those with higher incomes were benefiting from inflated asset values (stocks, real estate). The economic adjustment that I see coming (or already here) will impact almost everyone.
While I tend to think a global recession was inevitable and is going to impact the U.S. one way or another. Economic factors can affect the incumbent Administration's message. Suddenly, Bidenomics is scrutinized against this backdrop. It will be interesting to see if Kamala can separate herself from the Biden Administration.
