"That just proves she is stalling as long as she can!"
Also, "With who!? She needs that long to make sure she isn't asked any tough questions by real reporters!"

This will be followed by "She didn't invite the right journalists, she is afraid to be in an unscripted environment!" after the fact if they don't have something they can use.
Coming off the scripted and relatively sequestered Biden campaign, anyone who asks for more taking questions and unscripted situations is perfectly in bounds.

If one likes to see platforms and an articulation of policy positions, I think Harris has a way to go. The campaign websites are strikingly different as currently constructed. Harris' website simply asks for money. Trump's website has a platform with many positions. Some are general and some are specific.

Now forgive me for reminding everyone, but if Harris had went to through a normal primary process she would have developed a platform and everyone would know where she stood on issues. As far as we can tell, Harris is going to change/adjust some of her positions from her 2020 Presidential run and Senate tenure. It would be a good thing to know sooner than later in a 100 day campaign.

If she decided simply run on the basis that she is not Trump I wouldn’t blame her. Seems like a perfect platform and minimal chance to fuck anything up.

If the whole "Let's parachute in Gavin Newsom" or "Let's have a Blitz primary" had happened, who knows how things would have gone down.
You might be on to something there.

I wouldn't blame her, but it could backfire. If she decides to go that route, you also have to wonder if her platform would actually appeal to moderate voters.

The last thing Val wants is her in a position where she has to think on her feet.

They have a narrative and they are going to run with it.
The press will support them because a big press conference justifies their salaries and gets them on TV.
(I'm sure NY Times and others will also demand a long-form sit down interview as well.)

But as you can see, they are also wasting their actual question time by asking when they will get more question time.
Instead of, you know, asking her real questions.
If they are just throwing out gossip questions and asking about when they get to be on TV, it's not surprising she doesn't have much respect for them.

Also, it isn't like they are going to give her the soft-ball treatment they give Trump in his "press conference" (soft ball questions, no follow-ups or pushback, and accepting him pretending not to hear questions he doesn't like).

She's going to do one because she knows leaving the narrative out there when the press is against her isn't great (see what they did to Biden), but she seems to be smart enough to know they aren't her friends.
The press isn't supposed to be her friend.

You want her to do something like this?

In the FAKE NEWS story done by the Failing New York Times on Willie Brown and his little helicopter ride with me many years ago, there were “Logs,” Maintenance Records, and Witnesses. There was also a story on “Willie and Me.” Why can’t the Radical Left Failing New York Times write accurately, and fairly, on me - See following TRUTH! I only have one major goal in life, and that is to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! Wouldn’t that be a good thing for the New York Times. Think of it, THEY COULD BE GREAT AGAIN! The King of Kings is without sin, I don't think calling Kamala Harris a retard will cut the mustard.

If Kamala doesn't define herself and her positions, the Trump campaign will define her and that won't be complementary.

Wyatt Earp have you seen the film La La Land?

The Rancid Old Traitor's campaign can't even define what a brown log is let alone a Presidential candidate. Traditional Republicans that left Washington after 2016 want their Party back, you can't run a campaign on slander and hatred. Taylor Swift aside, The King of Kings has a massive disapproval rating among those born after 1980. JD Vance's lynch mob parade has blown up in The King of King's face.

Don't worry, have no fear, Trump will become American Caesar in 2025, all he has to do is convince the suckers and losers in the military to support him.

I do think her website needs to be beefed up.
This is one of the weaknesses of jumping in this late, those kinds of details are slipping.

No argument on this.

Luckily, she has an entire 4 years of work in the administration to draw from.
What she wants to do differently will have to be highlighted, but despite the truncated run up, she isn't starting from scratch.

There really was a weird Newsom mini-boomlet at some point.
It always seems that New York or California governors at some point get pitched as obvious presidential candidates despite not showing national support.
I've always suspected it is just the media being concentrated there and so their views get warped by proximity.

I wouldn't blame her, but it could backfire. If she decides to go that route, you also have to wonder if her platform would actually appeal to moderate voters.
I actually think one of the smarter moves she has made is shifting the tone away from just being the anti-Trump without dropping it.
Making the vote less about an obligation to stop him. That obligation view was probably working to some degree, but was also depressing.
Shifting the vibe on it has probably helped.

Valcazar, this is TERB. A little locker room talk should be expected.

I don't know your M.O. but you can tell some guys roll here from other political forums and are surprised by some of the male vibe.
