JJ Brown is a TV personality. What makes you think that old, overpaid fucker has any insight worth repeating?
He's a TV personality in the same way Elon Musk is a social media influencer.

Joe Brown is a lawyer and Musk is an innovator.

-Brown was the first African-American prosecutor in Memphis
-Brown presided over James Earl Ray's last appeal of his conviction for the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr.

Given his education and career, and having come from a family of activists against racism and injustice, I'd say he's in a unique position to critique Harris.

Brown is a foolish buffoon who ended up being jailed for contempt by a more senior judge and who is in the process of being disbarred.

"If 'DEI' is such a good thing, why do people get upset when you call someone a DEI hire?"
Because is often said as a slur to imply that the person would not otherwise have been hired.

More proof that the Left doesn't know how to meme.
Typical right wing response when they are the ones that are now upset with these "DEI Hires"!!

That's always been the conundrum. As far as VP's go, Kamala is fine in the job. There's never been a high bar.

I think U.S. politics is all about DEI every which way. Kamala's VP choice is going to be a white dude. Biden was the white dude on Obama's ticket and Pence was the white, Christian dude. It's safe to say Obama earned his trip to the White House.

However, we've never been in this situation. We have had Presidents die and resign. The VP becomes the President and that's that. Vice Presidents have also run for the Presidency and had to earn it through the primary process.

Kamala Harris has no individual electoral success at the national level. Her ascent to Democratic nominee is realistically a default appointment.

Outside factors are always going to play a role.
Job numbers, tensions getting worse or better in the middle east, China doing something dramatic, etc.
Not much to be done about that except roll with them as they come.
There's nothing really to disagree with your post except that the economy is always a top political issue. Rolling with it as it comes is quite an understatement.

Inflation was something that hit everyone differently. Generally, lower income American were hit harder while those with higher incomes were benefiting from inflated asset values (stocks, real estate). The economic adjustment that I see coming (or already here) will impact almost everyone.

While I tend to think a global recession was inevitable and is going to impact the U.S. one way or another. Economic factors can affect the incumbent Administration's message. Suddenly, Bidenomics is scrutinized against this backdrop. It will be interesting to see if Kamala can separate herself from the Biden Administration.

Why is that a game-changer? Those who don't want to vote for her are still free to refrain.

When Biden was nommed in 2020, did he have any individual success at the national level?.... Not really. He rode Obama's coat tails.
