Keeping him hidden for 4 years was a lot of work.
Democrats Shove Biden Into Late Night Slot to Make Room for D-List Speakers, Abortion Activists "What does it say about the modern state of the Democratic Party that it could not ask these abortion speakers to stand aside, to make room for the President of the United States to speak at a reasonable hour tonight?" "And they're still in it. I mean, he's not up yet. I think it's striking. This is the party of abortion. It is their biggest issue. And in their own minds, I think they think it's their biggest advantage, which tells you a lot." Brit Hume *NAILS* it
I realize you cling to that delusion, but it doesn't make it true. The only Major media organization fitting that description is Fox. Because of their reliance on advertising, I guess it's fair to say they are beholden to right wing advertisers, just as CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC and MSNBC are beholden to left wing advertisers. However, the balance of media leans left, not right, and in a closely coordinated way.
The GOP managed not to this year, which is quite impressive.Every party always gets a bump going into and coming out of their convention.
The GOP sure is acting like there is.The game is played for keeps starting in September. There is no Harris/Walz momentum.
What evidence we have says it is.There is relief among Democrats that Biden has stepped down and a renewed hope that the change will be enough to hang on to the white house. This is not "new" or "independent" support shifting to the Harris/Walz ticket.
After 9 years, it seems well established that Trump's floor and ceiling are both resistant to change.Trumps "repulsion" factor is as baked in already as it is ever going to be.
No it isn't.Well I mean, choosing the lesser evil is pretty bad if you think about it...
The nature of flawed systems.there's no better candidate out there than these 2?
It's mostly a continuation of Biden's policy, so yes.Do you like the policy she's laid out so far?
The GOP has been VERY effective at stopping things from getting fixed. There's minimal...she hasn't had an interview except from Walsh...Lol... She herself said there's a lot of problem right now..economy, housing etc etc...and she's going to fix it...why hasn't she and Joe Biden fixed it for almost 4 years?
Yes, but those are usually the internal polls by the campaign themselves. You have to bear in mind that polls are also a guideline as to how the campaign shapes out.
Reports seem to be putting it as low as 3,000 and maybe as high as 20,000.They are all at the protest
Anti-price-gouging laws.So back to my point, "price controls" seriously? We're talking about this in 2024?
You think its loony to protest this happening?
If we believe the polls...HIlary should've been president...![]()
Kamala Harris suffers triple polling blow before DNC starts
Kamala Harris came behind Donald Trump in one national survey and two Pennsylvania polls released over the past few days.www.newsweek.com
A little grounding for both sides. Still tied.
The inflation deflection is not a great look for her. Just a lot of pandering and posturing. I don't think it really helps her.Anti-price-gouging laws.
Which are already common. (30-40 states have them, I can't remember the total number.)
I didn't see any specific detail released other than talking about it in the speech, so maybe I've missed some additional material, but I've been assuming it would be similar to Warren's bill on Federal price-gouging prevention.
Are we pushing this idea that the media is conservative again? It doesn't make sense when journalists' and their managers' campaign donations are tracked. Seems like a fair metric to most of us.I realize you cling to that delusion, but it doesn't make it true.
There was a big bump in the preceding two plus weeks leading to the Republican convention. Kamala has had a great couple weeks leading up to the Democratic convention. We will see if she can make further progress in polls. Clearly unless someone doesn't something really stupid, Trump and Harris are fighting over a shrinking middle. (Both candidates in my opinion have a propensity to do stupid things. I will say Trump has a higher propensity, but he is also the known commodity in the race.)The GOP managed not [convention bump] to this year, which is quite impressive.
