the DNC staffers had nothing to work on.... Everyone had the same speech... 😂 😂 😂
"new way forward"... She was also part of the "old way" with who you call "genocide Joe"... you guys are pathetic if you think that was a great week of DNC...
It felt like the Democrats were going for something like the famous Monty Python catchphrase. Does anyone think it worked?

Oblivion

Robert Kennedy Jr. Rocks the Stage, Earns Standing Ovation in Trump Rally Epic Moment “We know that a government that can silence its opponents has license for any kind of atrocity. And can you think of any time that you can look back in history and say that the people who were censoring were the good guys? They're always the bad guys because it's always the first step down that slippery slope to totalitarianism. “Don't you want a safe environment for your children? Don't you want to know that the food that you're feeding them is not filled with chemicals that are going to give them cancer and chronic disease? “And don't you want a president that's going to make America healthy again? Thank you all very, very much. And God bless you. And God bless America.

"………and the worms ate into his brain !

They told him and the others to shut the fuck up and let Harris go ahead.

Gavin Newsom jokes about Harris landing nomination without primary, laughs he was ‘told’ to call it inclusive

California Gov. Gavin Newsom joked about the process that landed Vice President Kamala Harris the Democratic presidential nomination, saying in an interview posted Friday that he was "told to say" it was an open, inclusive process.

President Biden's blockbuster announcement last month that he was ending his re-election bid for a second term in the White House resulted in Harris replacing him at the top of the ticket. She has since enjoyed a surge in polling and fundraising, but never received a vote as the Democratic Party quickly embraced her to lead the ticket.

Critics of the Democratic Party have suggested Harris got the nomination without the true will of the voters, but Newsom appeared to find the process humorous.

"We went through a very open process, a very inclusive process. It was bottom-up, I don’t know if you know that. That’s what I’ve been told to say," Newsom said as he laughed during a talk with "Pod Save America" posted Friday.

Newsom then joked that Democrats held a 30-minute convention between tweets by Biden on July 21 announcing he left the race and then had endorsed Harris.

"It’s been amazing," quipped Newsom, who's widely seen as having future White House ambitions himself.

Democrats like Nancy Pelosi have claimed the nomination wasn't orchestrated in Harris' favor after Biden dropped out

The clip drew criticism as it began to circulate on social media on Friday.

"The Party of Democracy sits around guffawing at how anti-democratic and vote-free and secret was their process for choosing and then imposing the new Democratic presidential nominee on the country," journalist Glenn Greenwald responded.

If I recall, the Pod Save America people were some of the ones pushing for Biden and Harris to be dropped, weren't they?

What does a vague ad hominim attack have to do with the point being made?
It has to do with who his audience is and whether or not he is playing to them.
Newsom isn't exactly known for his convictions once a camera and microphone are on him.

Him admitting that no one had the juice to compete after Biden weighed in isn't exactly news.
That he would phrase things as an inside joke with this crowd might be.

That's not what he said. He admitted via sarcasm that the DNC shut down anything resembling dissent and chose the candidate they wanted.

But really that was Pelosi and company. Making this the 3rd primary where they didn't run a fair unbiased primary in a row

I always appreciate the "Evil all-powerful DNC" bullshit when you go back to the classics.

Except now the Governor of California is in agreement and laughing about it. So once again enjoy the gaslighting but everyone sees it. Hence the "backlash" which is really "don't say the quiet part outloud".

So what, exactly, do you think he "admitted" here?

I already pointed ut out. Really Val, you need to start reading and comprehending posts before commenting on them.
So he "admitted" that your exact interpretation of what happened is real?
How convenient.

You should post the clip. Second hand accounts can be influenced by visceral responses.

Fox News no doubt has a large audience*, but I think the entire media itself paints everything like a team sport. There have been articles and polls that demonstrate most Americans have more nuanced political beliefs than the two parties and the middle is much larger than portrayed. From my vantage point, you get about 30% of the left and 30% of the right pulling in their direction. Of course, they are attracted to certain news outlets and disparage others.

Most of the Americans I know watch a variety of news channels and read some print newspapers or websites.

* The Fox News audience doesn't have the influence the three major TV networks had forty years ago
I understand your point of view on this, but I don't share it, especially about it being not influenctial.

First, let's look at the typical Fox viewer. To grossly simplify it, a majority of them are seniors, or older Americans and conservative. The issue here is that studies show that Fox tends to be their primary source of news. That means, they hear the same bullshit repeated day in and day out. Now, this core audience distrusts MSM, partly because Fox keeps telling them how wrong channels like NBC, CBS, ABC or the New York Times/Washington Post are....and point out the stuff they don't cover. So, while Fox might be currently banging on the gong that Tim Walz is a secret Chineses agent, the fact that the other media ignores it SHOWS how corrupt they are or that they are Dem mouth-pieces....

The reality here is that these viewers vote, and vote GOP. They (not all) tend to believe conspiracy theories and outright refutable bullshit. That matters. They tend to vote against their interests because they don't hear the other side of the argument, unless you count whatever air time Tarlov gets on The Five.

Finally, I will point out that even the most left-wing of channels, which we can probably agree is MSNBC, is basically centrist when you compare it to Fox's opinion side.

The end result here is a huge group of voters who literally only hear curated bullshit from the right, while slamming anything from the left. They are categorically less informed than nearly any other group. They are more likely to share conspiracy theories on Facebook or other social media.
