WOW, Nick I've been wanting to eat at this place A Salt and Battery for years, but I still never got around to it. Even the lead singer Dave Gahan (being British) of my favorite band Depeche Mode eats there all the time because he lives near the place in the Big Apple.

BTW, never got a chance to respond to my thread because I've been very busy this weekend and the site was also down. On Good Friday I first had a Filet-o-Fish meal combo at McDonald's for lunch. Afterwards, I ended up grabbing takeway at two different places for dinner.

I just finished an order of halibut & chips from English Style @ Coxwell/Dundas. The fish was not as greasy as the last time I had it. The chips were excellent (with malt vinegar of course).
It's called British Style Fish & Chips. ; )

Grabbed takeout at both British Style F&C and Olde Yorke F&C. I over indulged on Good Friday and I've restricted myself from eating it for another 2 or 3 months! LOL

Its easier to find butterfly shrimp than it is to find fish and chips. Probably cheaper too.

Time has passed and I was able to try Old Yorke! I think it's really up there if not the best in TO.

Also tried Sea Salt at Marlee and Lawrence, which was good but slightly greasy and under done.
