Jesus never intended to die, he just wanted some attention and told Judas to kiss him on the cheek to give off a metrosexual vibe for the Roman tabloids but Judas fucked up and french kissed Jesus in front of Roman soldiers who then crucified Jesus for being gay.

There seems to be confusion between the GOP specifically and organized religion in general. There is a lot of overlap, but a distinction should still be made...
