It may well happen. They after all are the same folks who elected "Hulk" Hogan their Governor!
Well, I don't know McMahon!!

You're wrong there Aardvark, they elected Jesse Ventura (James Janos) governor, not Terry Bollea (Hulk Hogan).

Us Senate Predictions:

Open Republican Seats going down to DEMS!

MN: Al Frankin (D) (Tight, but a possible win for Frankin because Colemen (R) just got caught in a money laundering scheme, just today, through his wife and there's an IND candidate (Barkley) that is a bitch in that 3-way race and was part of that Ventura Administration)
CO: Mark Udall (D)
NV: Tom Udall (D)

And the rest:

VA: Mark Warner (D)
AK: Mark Begich (D) (This is Alaska, gentlemen.)
NH: Jeanne Shaheen (D) (OTB's favourite woman)
NC: Kay Hagan (D) (This is important, it takes out the religious sinner known as Elizabeth Dole who "broke the 8th Commandment" in an election commercial.)
OR: Jeff Merkley (D)

In trouble and should be watched closely in order of most in trouble to least trouble:

GA: Chambliss (R)
KY: McConnell (R)
TX: Cornyn (R)
MS: Wicker (R) (Loads of racists in MS).

In the US House

CT: Shays (R) is going to be defeated by Jim Himes (D). Reason this is important is it removes all Republicans from New England if Shays is taken out.

I don't think Franken is going to quite get there. Stevens from Alaska and Dole in NC are definately going down. Couldn't happen to two nicer people.

As I thought Ohio is starting to look kind of iffy for Obama. Good news, he doesn't have to win there. He takes PA, which is pretty much a done deal, there is only one State to watch, Virginia. If McCain loses VA, which he very likely will, it is mathamtically impossible for him to win no matter what else happens.

And for that simple reason is singularly stupid if given much thought.

What a brilliant idea! Let's eliminate all moderate Republicans. Then we can better complain when the Republican party becomes increasingly conservative and Southern - and post threads about is the GOP becoming Theocratic.

It's the continued "tsunami" effect of Republican dissatisfaction. Remember, there was a stock market collapse, record oil and gas prices based on lies, an unending war, foreclosures, and an intelligent Democratic Presidential candidate somewhat clean as a whistle since JFK. So even the moderates will get pushed out, and Chris Shays is a jerk anyway. He almost lost in 2006, won by his toes (and that was before the $147.00 oil effect).

I dunno. It's tight and with Obama's sweeping numbers in that state, it could just go to Frankin. It depends on how many numbers the 3rd party candidate is taking away from which of the other two.

I watched the 2006 debates with Shays and that hot chick who was running against him. Enough to know he was a prick. I take it, I have identified Aardvark154 as a Connecticut man coming to Canada to get laid?

Actually no. Someone who knows the Representive - yes. Since you were watching the debate should I say that you are from Connecticut?

Not even fucking close. LOL. I watched the Frankin debate, not even fucking close to Minnesota. Remember, I fly Cathay Pacific from Pearson to Hong Kong. And if you know Representative Shays (R CT), in which I don't believe everything I read on the Internet, I still think his policies are that of a fucking prick and he's going to finally lose that God damn election. Tomorrow, in fact.

I'll put my money on the following, though

Obama by 5+%
By 5 to 6 % I am predicting. Don't think majority of undecided will go for Obama.

How sweet it is

I'll go with Karl Rove's prediction... 338-200 Barack Obama electoral vote victory

From Karl's web site:
Election 2008: State of the Race
The final Rove & Co. electoral map of the 2008 election cycle points to a 338-200 Barack Obama electoral vote victory over John McCain tomorrow,
the largest electoral margin since 1996. All remaining toss-up states have been allocated to the candidate leading in them, with Florida (27 EV) going to Obama, and Indiana (11 EV), Missouri (11 EV), North Carolina (15 EV), and North Dakota (3 EV) going to McCain. The two candidates are in a dead heat in Missouri and North Carolina, but they go to McCain because the most recent polls conducted over this past weekend show him narrowly ahead. Florida, too, could end up in McCain’s column since he’s benefited from recent movement in the state.

The Dixville Notch vote probably does mean something since the Town usually votes Republican, then again it may not since the last time they voted Democratic was in 1968 for Hubert Humphry.

Well, my own predictions are in line with Mr. Rove's but a little more favorable to the Democratic candidate.

Mr. Obama: 53.2% of the popular vote, 349 electoral votes
Mr. McCain: 45.7% of the popular vote, 189 electoral votes
All other candidates: 1.1% of the popular vote

Sen. McCain's only hope is to win PA and then run the table. Obama wins it all with anyone of Ohio, PA, Virgina, North Carolina or Florida.

This thread should be more about when the election will called over. My guess is 8.05pm
If it is called very early it should be interesting to see what effect that has on turn-out in California among other places with the potential impact on Proposition 4 and Proposition 8 in particular. There has been talk for years about banning early calling of the Presidential election by media outlets.
