Well putno i dont believe it will be all milk and honey with Trudeau....the economy will be sluggish for quite awhile regardless of who is the PM................but for me i just want harper gone..i dont like the way he approaches governing, to say the least...he is a spiteful, meanspirited compassionless human being , who has surrounded himself with truly awful people . like Kenney Polievre, Calandra Oliver, Clement..i could go on and on......in my opinion it will be a giant breath of fresh air from BC to NFLD rushing in after Harper packs up and leaves..
Clement? What a joke. ************ Poilievre is awesome he calls a spade a shovel. I think he can be a great next leader for the party. Kenney is a bit of dweeb but he is a very competent politician. I've met Clement he's a good guy and again very competent. As is Joe Oliver - I think he's done well in his finance role. There are very few in the Liberal party that have the skills and acumen of these individuals. And nobody in the NDP comes close - they are a band of misfits.
.
How can you vote? Your are American..a non Canadian citzenI still voted in my riding.
Plus Justin will be the 'Head waiter' for Kathleen Wynne. At least with his dad Pieerre Trudeau you have respect for him when his said no to the provinces and said" PM of Canada job is not a head waiter for the provinces!! Trudeau Sr " quoted you have 10 premiers and the Prime Minister as a kind of head waiter to provinces in this case it would Kathleen Wynn which Justin will be serving to.oh that is just great!

If Harper eeks it out the wailing will be hysterical.I don't think it's as clear-cut as people seem to think. A lead in the popular vote, even a significant lead, does not guarantee a win. Last I checked, Trudeau and Harper are neck in neck in the seat count predictions.
No, according CBC, which is probably the most accurate with threehundreandeight's work there, the liberals are up by 5% or about 20 seats.I don't think it's as clear-cut as people seem to think. You are wrong. How can you vote? Your are American..a non Canadian citzen
When Chretien became PM he sought the wise counsel of Mitchell Sharp.oh that is just great!

I'm a Canadian citizen, not an American. I live in the US now but I'm not an American. I voted by mail, registered online with Elections Canada, received my ballot by mail, and sent it in a week and a half back or so.How can you vote? Your are American..a non Canadian citzen
The previous gov't also either froze or cut transfer payments to the provinces. And didn't have a global meltdown to deal with. Many good points brought up here that I think Steve-O got to go.
btw, typical Cons always mislead everyone. Here is one that the Cons keep saying that the Liberal will run a lot of deficits but in fact under the Harper gov't from 2007 until now, we have only 3 small surpluses (13.8B in 07, 9.6B in 08 and small questionable surplus in 2015 of 1.9B). This current gov't ran deficits 6 out of 9 yrs.
The previous Liberal gov't did way better under Chretien and Martin

We definitely need changes.
Well said but we're going to pay a lot for that change $$$. Especially here in Ontario where Wynne will gain even more power. If the Liberals win I hope it's a minority. Giving any party free reign is never a good thing. You need to represent a broader range of the Canadian electorate. I don't know what the polls said going into the election? I'm guessing it was close to this - 35% for the Libs - 30% Con and 29% NDP. Those are pretty shitty numbers if you think about it. Only 35% are in favor of one party. So basically you'll have over 60% of voters not in favor of this newly elected government. So that 35% is dragging the rest of use with them.no i dont believe it will be all milk and honey with Trudeau....the economy will be sluggish for quite awhile regardless of who is the PM................but for me i just want harper gone..i dont like the way he approaches governing, to say the least...he is a spiteful, meanspirited compassionless human being , who has surrounded himself with truly awful people . like Kenney Polievre, Calandra Oliver, Clement..i could go on and on......in my opinion it will be a giant breath of fresh air from BC to NFLD rushing in after Harper packs up and leaves..
