Here is what actually happened. Trump could probably have won the first trial. It was a credibility contest between him and EJC and the jury would have been skeptical of the long delay in bringing the lawsuit, her memory lapses and the fact that it probably started as a political stunt. But EJC must have come across ok on the stand. And then Trump refused to testify and defend himself.

So the jury was just left w EJC's version of the facts and - not unnaturally - found in her favour.

Not content with shooting his dick off once, Trump worsened his plight by repeating all the same defamatory statements about EJC right after the trial. Now it was already a legally established fact from the first trial that he sexually assaulted EJC (see above). So defamation was automatically established at law and it was just a question of setting punitive damages for Trump's high-handed behaviour.

Trump shot his dick off a third time by cross-examining EJC aggressively through the 2nd trial - even though defamation was already legally established - and by ranting and tantruming all through the 2nd trial and getting his incompetent and stupid lawyer to do the same. The jury saw all that and hated him more and more.

So all that adds up to $83.3M. You have to be a senile, drugged-up narcissistic poltroon to fuck up a case so spectacularly like that. But that's Trump for you. And - have no doubt! - this was 90% his shit, not Habba's, although he will blame her for it.

He will continue to fuck up like this in his other trials because he is dim-witted, arrogant, drugged-out, senile and narcissistic and totally incompetent. He should be parked at a corner table at Mar-a-Lago telling boring bullshit golf stories to other old men, like all the other drooling, senile, old grandads and uncles. He is utterly incompetent to run his own affairs at this point in his life, let alone have a political career.

With that being said New York is 95% democrat, and Trump would have lost anyway. No New york jury would acquit Trump!! Also, Judge Kaplan hated Trump, which didn't help matters!! Anyway like all his cases, Trump will appeal this verdict. I think Trump has enough money to appeal all these cases coming up, especially now that he's the leading GOP candidate. I'm sure the GOP will pay all of Trumps legal fees etc The Dems are trying to raise money for Nikki Haley, so she can run against Biden, instead of Trump. He should appeal the damages award. That was the only live issue in the second trial and he might get them cut down substantially - perhaps even into the $10M range.

IMHO, who the jurors were didn't make any difference. All the potential jurors were biased NY Dems. Trump should have testified in the first case, and called Carroll a liar etc. Judge Kaplan would have had to let all of Trump's rants in against Carroll. Trump would have had to take his chances on cross-examination, but Carroll's case had a lot of weaknesses as well!! It was a total "he said, she said", case.

Trump wasn't even found guilty of raping Carroll, in the first trial. IMHO, this whole Carroll case is outrageous.
