Mandrill, I totally agree with you that Trump should have testified himself, at the first trial. It seems he got bad legal advice, from the lawyer he recently fired Joe Tacopina.
Tacopina appeared abrasive and aggressive, but competent.

With that being said New York is 95% democrat, and Trump would have lost anyway. No New york jury would acquit Trump!! Also, Judge Kaplan hated Trump, which didn't help matters!!
No, that was a very winnable first trial and the jury would have sided with Trump if he played it correctly.
Anyway like all his cases, Trump will appeal this verdict. I think Trump has enough money to appeal all these cases coming up, especially now that he's the leading GOP candidate. I'm sure the GOP will pay all of Trumps legal fees etc The Dems are trying to raise money for Nikki Haley, so she can run against Biden, instead of Trump. However, Haley is such a loser, that IMHO, she has no chance beating Trump, as the GOP candidate.
Trump will appeal everything and will fuck up the appeals.

He will fire any competent lawyer who tells him straight-up to watch his P's and Q's and he will hire incompetent dicksuckers like Habba and Jenna Ellis who facilitate his self-destructive idiocy.

IMHO, the $83.3 million damages award was a joke. Carroll was a broken down ex columnist, not some CEO of a big bank etc Anyway, luckily Trump has the resources to appeal, this joke verdict!!
I agree, rump will keep slandering her.
It should be $1 billion.

Nah...he's going to appeal...which by your narrative means he's actually innocent. Right?
It is his right to appeal, he will lose but it's his right. In the same way, Bannon and Navaro are not locked up yet, because of the appeal. The difference between you and me is, that I live in reality and I am happy the first block has fallen, step by step, inch by inch.

EJC didn't come across that great on the stand. The problem is Judge Kaplan wouldn't let the jury see anything incriminating against Carroll, like that crazy interview Carroll did with anderson Cooper, where she "called rape sexy etc"
You realize Trump has his own lawyers who can exclude biased jurors in the voir dire process, right?

But it's PUNITIVE - not compensatory - damages.

They're imposed as a legal beating on the tortfeasor. Trump made the jury sick. So they beat him up heavily.

Sorry Mandrill, I'm not a lawyer like you are, so I had to look up what punitive damages mean.

IMHO, I don't think Trump's behaviour was that outrageous. Trump was just trying to defend himself on truth social. To award Carroll $65 million for punitive damages was outrageous. Trump wasn't even found guilty of raping Carroll, in the first trial. IMHO, this whole Carroll case is outrageous. Just too repeat, thank goodness Trump has the resources to appeal this "crazy" case!!
You obviously did not follow the trial and you have idea what the evidence actually was.

Yes, I do think Alina is a good lawyer. However, I think Alina is gorgeous looking, so that might be influencing my judgment just a bit----LMAO
I will agree with you she is HOT but she sucks as a lawyer. I would bet she can suck it like a hungry horny hottie and I would be willing to give her a retainer to do so!!!

lol. Your fearless leader has already thrown her under the bus and is blaming her for blowing the case. Right on schedule. Too funny.

I did follow the trial, on the x account inner city press. https://twitter.com/innercitypress?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^serp|twgr^author

I also followed the trial on Robert Gouveia's you tube account. Gouveia who is a criminal lawyer in Arizona, talks about the Trump trials everyday Monday to Friday.

So in other words you didn’t really follow it and have no interest in actual facts or law.

Well thanks to the Dems unwillingness to televise this trial, I'm doing the best I can by following lawyers, who are much more knowledgeable than myself.

Even Robert Gouveia, a criminal defence lawyer, licensed in Arizona, and a few other states, thinks this Carroll case is an absolute joke, and he's a licensed lawyer.

Also, Viva Frei, another licensed lawyer, who I mentioned yesterday, thinks this Carroll case is also an absolute joke-----LMAO

lol. Too funny

You do realize that the awards were by juries which were selected in part by his lawyers. Your fearless leader has already said that Habba blew the trial.

If you are right he will win on appeal. Not sure what good that does because now the despicables do not even accept judgements and orders of the SCOTUS which he brags he chose.

I guess the judge and jury didn't agree with the "experts" on this, huh? 😏

I don't think that the New York Jets should've won the 1969 Super Bowl either. In fact, it was bullshit and completely unbelievable that they won it. I don't accept that the Jets won. Colts should have won the 69 Super Bowl and as far as I am concerned, they did. They were way the better team!

I'm going to write to the internet and tell them that Baltimore Colts won the '69 Super Bowl 37 - 14.

Kinda the same thing as all of your and Mitch's "experts" saying that Trump should have won the EJC trials, huh?

Woulda-coulda-shoulda is pretty sad shit when compared with "actually did".

And for why Trump lost a trial he should have won, read my post #121 a couple of times. And he could have won that trial in front of a New York, San Francisco, Chicago or a Toronto jury if he didn't royally dick it up. At the end of the day, juries focus on personalities, not politics.
