Then there is no hope for mankind as no system is perfect. BTW Despite what people say, I do think the rulers of the PRC do act in the best interest of their people almost all the time. Did you know that nobody starves in the PRC?
No, but a few thousand were left homeless with that colossal dam project prior to the Olympics.

I don't think anyone was left homeless. Entire towns and villages were forcibly evicted from their homes, but I do believe they were all provided with new homes. The PRC does generally act in the interests of most of its citizens, and the government there is actually generally popular. Ironically, if an election were held today, I think the current government would win by a land slide.

A Tibetan or an Uighur might have something to disagree with though, especially a Tibetan or an Uighur that voiced a political opinion about not wanting to be part of China, or perhaps a Han who expresses some public statement about not liking one party rule. Those are the situations in which the authoritarian nature of the PRC shows its nasty side.

Let's hope. For some reason, I thought I saw some bad press about that. Do you know for sure?

It is not easy keeping 1.3 billion people happy. We are witnessing the greatest social and economic transformation in the history of humankind and huwomankind, there are bound to be a few bumps along the way and it is all being done with very little bloodshed.

How do you expect other people to choose how they want to live if they don't have a democracy?
I gather they all want to have their ruling government toppled
by democratic invaders so they can get to elect the leaders they
want to liver under.

Funny to notice many in-house pinko kook and their wannabe turn blind eyes on mining deaths in China, where as a Communist country manages to sustain the largest number of mining fatalities annually, second to none.
Now you are being more stupid than usual hinny!
Point is libs do point out that fact. However this makes little difference to those conservative Corporatist shills like you who being basically whores to the dollar trade regularly with your commie pals while betraying your own countrymen like Judas' you are. As long as you make your 30 pieces of silver your happy as pigs in poop.....

ROFLMAO, my own countrymen are not the has-been Yankees like you and couldn't care less whether you get screwed on Social Security cut or your birdie is just another nobody working and even get sacrificed for MIC. You get what you pay and vote for.

For the dollar trade, shouldn't you jump up for joy as your currency is worth-less, your treasury bills creditability questionable and more importantly money from QE2 flooding overseas, making others pay for your country f*ckup?

Buy, Buy, Buy for MIC and hold on Multi-Nationals after months of upside.

In the meantime, the countdown to sequential states bailout and Tsunami of muni bonds defaults begin. That could be one of the Black Swan events for 2011.

Oh, silver is en fuego and would not be surprised JP Morgan is going to cover the massive short. Wanna buy silver and deposit them in the Vatican Bank? :p

Chile turned out to be one of the best economy in LatAm, better than the neighboring jokers Argentina and definitely better than Ecuador and Cuba.

And the "Fascist" government in Chile did return the government to civilian ownership as promised, unlike the Communists and their Pinko Kook allies in the same neighborhood.

BTW, Chilean red wines, especially those Carmenere and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties are top notch and money for value.
So, mass murder is OK if the economy thrives on cheap labour, it is OK to overthrow democratically elected socialist governments with Fascist ones if you don't like them, do I have you right? I think you proved my point. When asked to choose between democratic socialism and capitalist fascism, the USA will choose the latter every time.

Feel free to leave Canada and emigrate to the Utopia paradise in Cuba. Make sure you renounce your Canadian and/or British citizenship.

Funny your "hero" and fellow pinko kook see Cuba is toasted down the road.

WRT mass murder, Chile is nowhere closed to your ideological motherland, China, North Korea, Cambodia and the former Soviet Union. Theirs start in millions, not 4 figures hardcore left wing fifth columns in Chile.

BTW, "Fascist" Chile must be totally wacko to allow Partido Socialista de Chile to participate in the political process since late 90s. Those Chilean "Fascists" must be a wuss in your opinion to let the left participate in the same level of political playing field and in many occasion won the presidency.

Some Americans are as dense as a log. They want to treat their northern border the same as their southern border. Clearly, the southern border is a concern because there are a million Mexicans a year trying to illegally enter the U.S. On the other hand, there are probably less than 1,000 people trying to illlegally enter the U.S. from Canada. Wouldn't be surprised if there are more than 1,000 Americans trying to flee the U.S. to escape going to fight in Iraq or Afghanistan or simply run away from an insolvent nation that is madly printing money to stay afloat.

Your stupidity knows no bounds. I have every bit as much right to stay in Canada and turn it into a socialist state like Sweden, my model, as you have to stay and try to return is to the law of the jungle. There is no "natural ruling economic system" in Canada or the USA. Capitalism is not in the Constitution. Some day we will be a far more socialist nation and I think you know that.

Yes, indeed, in Canada you do have a constitutional right to be stupid, and I for one will stand up and defend your right to be as stupid as you please.

ROFLMAO, everybody knows you are a pinko kook, dumber than those poked fun by Don Cherry.

Sweden is a socialist state? You are obviously f*cked up as usual since the last time I read, Sweden is a Constitutional monarchy just like the UK, a vibrant social democracy that respect private ownership and minimal public ownership of some industry.

Joker like you OTOH is working overdrive to convince the uninformed that Sweden is a country obsessed to have "commanding heights" of the economy nationalized, so that capitalism and the procurement of wage labor for private profit is abolished at least in the major productive and social spheres. That's the characteristic of a socialist state and just in case you are dumb as everybody could tell, there is no Monarch in a socialist state since the loonie left favor a republican form of government.

Needless to say, you flunk the exam on differentiating political ideology.

BTW, the law of the jungle applies to the stateless society/failed state, say Somalia or Afghanistan, not Mercantile Capitalist society like the USA and China.

Good one.

Eric is lucky to act stupid here for everybody to see since doing the same stunt in those loonie left countries he idolized would inevitably rub the powers that be wrong way down the road.

Should that happen, he would lucky to be coming out alive from the penal colonies.

Just the Republicans thank you.
Recall how Dubya and his DICK saw little need to differentiate between the southern and northern US borders and wanted to seal them both up tight. GOPers are by nature paranoid and know folks want to 'git them'....
