GagaHi

I have a few credits left on Ashley Madison - a scam site . I was messaging a Chinese lady in Toronto ( unlikely). She said her English wasn't great and it was easier for her to communicate on the translating dating site GagaHi - a $uper$cam site. Membership is $20 for a month ...how bad could it be ...... But, you can't do anything with that . You need "gold coins". 20 coins - $20 . $1 per photo . $1 per translated message

I'm an idiot ( I found a few negatives reviews - Out $52 CAN - Then found lots of negative reviews .... oh well , )

This guy I followed for awhile and he had some interesting videos and points, telling guys to be confident, work on building themselves and not being obsessed with chasing women, until he made a video where he said women dont enjoy sex and use it only as a way to get what they want, then I had to bail.

As a guy who is in his mid 40's and single I can openly tell you do not waste your time with these apps, women are attracted to success, drive and a man with goals, how the hell can a guy showcase this based on a 3 second glance on a photo? the majority of these women on there have insane expectations of men, or are late 40's, overweight, divorced and with 3 kids, not exactly hall of fame candidates. The only exception I have for these sites is if you are traveling outside the country and want to meet women and prearrange dates or even just a local to hang out with, I have used it successfully many times on my trips to Latin America. A man is better off working on improving himself, whether it is physically, mentally, a business etc rather than wasting their time swiping left or right.

Bang on, my friend, we are in the same age range and I say you are 100% correct in your analysis.

Tinder was supposed to be a hookup site, which it is set up perfectly for, but then it was hijacked by loads of delusional people who are not relationship material but think they can find "true love" on a dating app that gives users limited information about the profiles they read.

I've said it before and I will say it again: Dating sites are the one piece of online technology that has actually gotten much worse over the past 20 years instead of better.

From 2000 to 2009 I used Lavalife, which had an absolutely amazing setup for getting dates/hookups. Getting laid was pretty much as easy as just logging into your account. In 2009 they changed their platform and it has been shite ever since. Online dating has never been the same since, IMHO.

So being bored and single with the lockdown i gave pof and tinder a try

There are a huge scam. I'm a attractive 6.2" guy with a great job. I've never ever had any problems dating or picking up chicks. Some of the girls i dated where absolute knockouts. With covid its been difficult to say the least

Now plenty of fish. I've never ever seen uglier women in my life. It was bad!
I got the fuck off that after a week it was making me sick looking at these pics.

Tinder had more attractive women. Much more attractive but I think a lot was fake. Fake profiles and people. My first day there I think I had like ten likes. Or swipes not sure what its called. Anyway they relentlessly asked me for money. Wouldn’t let me look at who swiped. I could only go through a few profiles till I was out of swipes. Then they would ask me for money. After my initial ten like I didn't get one after. All they did was ask for money. Things a huge scam was on there for a month .

Online dating will always be a hit or miss for some people. If one really wants to find a match they gotta sort through all the bots and inactive accounts.

Ohh not exactly a dating app per say but i remember once i tried questchat for shits and giggles. That phone site/app was filled with overly desperate and lonely people who had no standards.

We got bumble for dating and coffee meets bagel hmm don't older folks use match and eharmony

What are some irl spots in Toronto where decent singles hangout? I'm wife hunting, not looking for a hookup only. Apps have been bad and i think I'm top 20% in looks but bottom 20% in careers/money (unemployed).
There are match maker services and mail order girls.Chinese women will marry you in heart beat if they are from China, as they are under orders to do so.

Definitely Tinder has a lot of fake profiles. It is part of Tinder's business model. It is how the keep the guys entertained and on the app. No way there are that many hot women that are single on Tinder and in Toronto. And there are so many phishing scams on Tinder. Love it when a super hot girl gives me her snapchat info right off the bat. No chit chat, no hi or how are you - just gives me her snapchat. Any girl that offers up her contact so quickly is up to something I am not interested in. Tinder is basically a time sink.

What are good mail order sites? So hard to tell what is legit and what are scams.

I was on Hinge for two weeks and every female there was overweight, obese and borderline bbw. I’m a fairly attractive guy and normally get a high end of ymmv from sp’s. I’ve had good profiles and pictures on various dating apps over the years. Nothing worked. If there’s a match out of a blue, I think about the message before sending it. Nothing works. Online dating is extremely hard.

If I could go back and receive one gift to lead me to a happy life it would be a strong physical attraction to overweight women. I have known a couple of examples in my misspent youth and they were both as happy as pigs in muck. Always had "groupies", never had to pay for anything. Always had amazing orgy stories. Rarely had to pay for anything including room and board in one case. If I just coulda kept my lunch...
BTW, I can attest to the fact that at least some fat girls are terrific kissers, it is what it is...

100%. I wish I knew that when I was younger as I wasted so much time on sites like POF and Lavalife. At least with Lavalife by phone, it was sort of a two way street seeing as you couldn't see each other, and the messaging was almost instant as opposed to endless PM's back and forth.

I think you'd have a better chance of hitting the lottery than finding someone on tinder you could have a long term relationship with.

Most of the people on there can't meet someone in real life which is why they go there because they've given up.

Those sites are just a scam to prey on the vulnerable people desperate for a relationship.

Your best bet would be to join activities like thing that interests you. Like hiking groups yoga. Painting whatever. I think thats your best opportunity.

Couldn't handle the truth?

SO le me get this straight, I am lost with this thread, you guys not happy with the dating apps because you are looking/seeking a wife? or just want a 1-2 year long term relationships?

Has anyone here ever hear or better yet, met someone that met their spouse/partner with dating website/apps?

As Bigdaug says

To add to his comments to me people who are co-dependents and lost mentally end up there. Also I met guys who are to judgmental end up there.

How many of you are here who have posted on this thread or on terb are seeking marriage?

I think online dating has become more popular over the last year, especially when the pandemic began. I haven't tried many dating apps, though I used Tinder and Match. I should say, it is possible to choose a dating site according to your age. My mother visits those from seniordatingwebsites.ca. In my opinion, it is great that she has more chances to meet people that have much in common with her.

🤣😂🤣
You obviously don’t know how dating apps work. Before using anything you should understand how it works.
Here is a quick tutoria:
You swipe right when you “like” someone.
The women swipe right if they “like” you.
if both of you swipe right in each other then it’s a “match“ and you are both notified of the match FOR FREE
If you are lazy and don’t want to go and swipe through all the profiles to be a match then you can pay for a “premium membership“ so you can see who has liked you.
It’s free unless you want to pay for it. They will send you notifications if you get a like if you leave notifications on. Yes of course they want you to pay but you don’t need to.
And yes I agree online dating has gone downhill with all of these apps. Old school online dating was much better.
And no, don’t use eharmony. You HAVE TO pay to read message or reply and the “matches” they send you absolutely suck.
