it was a first real show of resistance to the draconian measures put forth by our government

it had to be done to stop Trudeau from completely running a mock
Next time invite this FreeDumb Truckers to honk day and night in your neighbourhood. The Canadians needed the flow of Essential products as the Health and wellbeing of our seniors etc was in danger of being compromised without their medications. But you right wingers moan and groan about the loss of revenue, but yet bow to these far right extremists who were compromising our trade with our biggest partners!!

You are hilarious. Did they not block the flow of goods at the border between THE USA AND CANADA?

You desperately try to make them out these extremists to be saints in this whole blockade of the Capital.

Let's see the facts:

'Freedom Convoy' cost downtown Ottawa millions per day, experts estimate
Estimates range from $44 million to $200 million in sales, wage losses

I agree that is was the premiers that are responsible for the completely useless lockdowns. It was never about health and safety. The lockdowns were pointless and ruined small businesses and all other aspects of life. You don't shutdown society over a virus with a 99.98% survival rate. You can't eradicate a virus in 2 weeks. And Ford was the only Premier to agree with the EA. All the rest were opposed to it. Tells you all you need to know about Dougie.
Why is it that a State like Florida that opened very early and refused to shut down then had a death and infection rate that was much higher than that of the whole of Canada?

It could have been even lower rates in Ontario had Ford not delayed until push came to shove. Subsequently, he toed the line when his own health experts pressured him to shut the economy.

He then did the right thing!!

Gee you think that the size of Florida vs Canada had any impact!!......Or how about Florida having 22 million inhabitants that are aging in that small land mass!!

The deaths in Florida were mostly sick elderly people already with one foot out the door. Ford shut down soon after march Break and kept things shut for almost two years. And you what it didn't do a thing.

How do you know, were you the funny-looking dude who followed me into the washroom over the weekend to try and take a peek?

PS...Justin for 2025!!
No that wasn't me. I've never stepped foot in a women's or gender neutral washroom in my life.

This line right here shows how dumb your comment really is. If noise pollution constitutes the use of the EA then it was justified but it doesn't. The Convoy was never a threat or overthrow of the government by far right wing extremists like JT or media wants the public to believe.

I don't think you've ever stepped foot anywhere with a woman is more like it but that's ok, it's all good. I don't judge anyone.

Obviously, oracle picks and chooses to try and defend the indefensible!! The fact is that most of Canada's population are concentrated in the cities such as Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and as well as cities and towns. These are the main regions of infections and death rates. The largest city like Jacksonville barely has a population of 1 million. Urban Toronto is three times that number. So accept the fact that the lockdowns made the difference!!

The anti vaxxer convoy was shut down after they blocked bridges caused hundreds of millions in lost income to businesses.
It was a movement that was hated by the majority of Canadians.

Its a perfect choice to use as PP's resume.
PP has done nothing in all his years of office. Nothing, no bills, no laws, nothing.
Backing the incredibly unpopular anti vaxxer convoy just really sums him up.

Remember that our Senior Home Cares were hit in the beginning as well. This is when Ford had to eventually take action. He also reopened when the infection and death rates dropped, but did not shut when they started to pick up again in 2021, until push came to shove. But that is hilarious when you make excuses for those death rates for those with "one foot out of the door". The fact is that they did little to protect the elderly in Florida. It was a whack job!!

The senior care homes we run like sewers to begin with. The conditions were horrible and Florida's deaths rates weren't as high as states with strict lockdowns. Elderly people die all the time. Now we have to sacrifice children's well being and the rest of society. The lockdowns were pointless and did nothing to reduce the spread.

Listen you are being ignorant now. if it was just a demonstration for a weekend or so, then fine they had every right to do so. But when they park their stupid freedumb trucks such that it blocked off the streets, and as I already posted causing businesses to shut down and citizens to lose their jobs for over a month. As the Provincial Govt. was unable to cope with it and begged the help of the Federal Govt, then to the citizens affected by the constant honking in the nights and the stress caused by it, then this was the right move. The appeal will decide it all!!

If it was justified then it never would've gotten to an appeal process. All they needed was provincial police and tow trucks.

Whether it was like "sewers" or not, the fact is that we In Canada had a better handle of this Covid then they did in Florida or the USA. Thankfully, we did not have those high rates of death irrespective of the age. But goodness knows which sewers resemble the care homes that you visit!!

The provincial police could not cope with the numbers of these ignorant truckers who even involved their kids who should have have been in their classes rather than causing a mess in Ottawa!!
