Quite an interesting case. Menendez's wife appears to have interests in a company which was given exclusive rights by Cairo to certify all US beef imports in Egypt as Halal and that company made mega monopoly profits in return for Menendez assisting the Egyptian government to scam the USA.
Unlike how corrupt repugs are always supported to nth degree by their fellow deplorables, the Dems who always have more integrity as a party, will force him out.
The dems are calling for him to resign. In similar circumstances the gop spin army would be out in force attacking the DOJ, da, the judge and everyone else. It is a set up, weaponization, politically motivated etc.
Dems belive in the justice system and democracy. Repugs belive in taking and holding power by any means, legal or otherwise and if they don't like the results of an election steal it.

Al Frankin was forced out by the party for such a minor display of a lack of propriety.
There's a totally different mindset between the two parties of what's right and wrong as others have pointed out above.
