You do realize you may have survived, or prevented long covid by being vaccinated right? It was never about outright prevention(although they can do that) but lessening severity.

The Spanish Flu killed 50 million estimated(bets it was higher) in few years in a much lower population density. And variations still kill today.

Be thankful science has advanced in this.
You must not have been paying attention when they were selling the vaccines by claiming they were 90% effective at PREVENTING covid. They then changed it to "well, it doesn't prevent covid but thankfully prevents you from being hospitalized." Then people with vaccines and boosters were still being admitted into the hospital... and you know the rest.

No, it makes cases way less severe even when you do get it.
Its keeping people out of hospitals.
Lol people who are vaxxed and boosted like myself are still going to the hospital. I'm done with the snake oil. It was never about science, all political science and we were all fooled into taking something that doesn't work.

They were and are, against origional covid. The problem is the continuous mutations. And the ones going into the hospital continue to be the unvaxxed in the majority, along with comorbities people.

Numbers don't lie. As soon a vaccines became available death tolls dropped as did ICU admissions. And the overall number of cases with any severity. Now its a waiting game until it evolves into a lesser strain to join the Common Cold and the Flu to a nuisance and annual shot.

Ive had four shots. I figure another around Xmas, and one more next fall hopefully. Then annual to join the flu shot. Go ahead and take the risk. No one is stopping you.

I'm curious. Are you over 70 or immuno-comprised? Why the overkill? It will get to the point where your immune system will rely on vaccines to fight anything off.

I'm early 40's and the only time I got covid was after the booster. Almost like the vaccine toyed with my immune system. A lot of people are discounting the fact that our immune system is robust. I wish i did more research before boosting. My age group has a 99.97% chance of beating covid without the vaccine.

You don't feel the least bit fooled by having to take 4 doses of a vaccine and still get the virus? You better stay away from the timeshare tables the next time you're on vacation.

Mid fifties and healthy. Non smoker, light drinker, no drugs, eat healthy. And yes my Civud came after third shot. That was Omicron.

But my symptons(and my SO's) were light. And we had different symptoms. I was over it in about 5-6 days, with three kinda bad(mostly fatigue).

Thats my point. The variants can get past immunity. But the vaccines help by already having antibodies to kick start the fight. They lessen severity so no hospitalization needed.

So in making that statement it means you would trust doctors to tell you the best course of action.

Guess what they are saying.

Maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel....or a train. We'll see.

The problem is this, quoting from the article.

So can CNN pull off this sort of devolution back toward being a “hard news” outlet and not a liberal opinion factory?

It is pretty clear the new ownership, like most cable news ownership, wants a share of the Fox news audience, which is large.
But if you go "hard news", you will never get that audience.
They watch Fox because Fox lies to them and reinforces their beliefs.
If you present facts, backed by research and actual weighing of the evidence, they will tune out in droves and accuse you of being against them.

Yes, they go with the political science with fear of being ostracized. Does that give you confidence in the efficacy of the vaccine?

CNN?
Why?
Crossfire ratings were terrible.
Same when MSNBC had Carlson on.
Even his Fox numbers weren't great until he went in on the white nationalism.
That's what made him a star.

The deranged are those who backed a conman for 6 years thinking he'd work the con on your behalf.
The ones who are deranged are the cultists who follow trump with blind faith.

"There are none so blind as those who refuse to see."

tDS, in reality, stands for trump Devotee Syndrome. They are truly all fucked up. They are the ones who can't let go.

No, they went with the medical science because its correct. And the few that didn't tend to be grifters making money from youtube channels and fake cures for things.

You want to argue it was his somewhat earlier embrace of culture war resentment narratives?
That's fair.
There's a reason why Carlson beats his competitors (combined). He covers issues that matter to the everyday people.

No, wrong again young man. It's because the other networks split the audience of the informed and Fox gets to keep all the gullible viewers to themselves.
