Again, did Hamas or the Palestinian people win this? there is more anger at Israel right now but how does that help the people in Gaza?
yes I know of course Hamas said that to deter Israeli rescue attempts jeez. What do you expect them to say? "if you try to rescue them, please let us know so we can have tea and crumpets prepared"?
So you are saying if the only killed the IDF soldiers, took a few hostage, and only took able bodied men and women hostage the Israeli govt would say "Nicely played, lets discuss the terms of exchange"?? I agree that is most likely. Israel will conduct some provocation. Hamas will respond and off we go. It depends of who was lying. I think an early end to the ceasefire will make Trump look weak and not in control. I don't think he likes that and esp so early in his presidency, The Trump clan is a business clan, and the Arabs and Chiense have vastly more business potential then the Israelis Espeicially now they have turned their nation into an uninvestable mess. So its not without hope but faint hope. Maybe the Saudis offered some opportunities in Neom if they make Gaza merely bad again.
Who doesn't have more business potential than a tiny little rogue state? Imagine all the business the US could get throughout the world, if they didn't have the Israeli weight around their neck.
What reputation do you think Hamas has established amongst reasonable, powerful and influential nations of the world? I'll tell you - amoral terrorists who are not to be trusted and who will turn to violence when their unconvincing arguments about establishing a nation are not accepted by the world. They have the ear of Iran, a rogue state, but do not have the support of any nation who could actually help them achieve any of their goals. That result is even worse than the military devastation suffered by them in the war. Hamas lost this war in every way possible.
