Regarding : Two clients arrested during the operations will also face charges of being found in a bawdy house.

I thought there were no longer found-in bawdy house offense with respect to prostitution, post C36?

This may be an indication that LE did not have the proof of communication for the purposes of..., or obtaining a sexual service for consideration, under C36. The burden of proof may be high and difficult to charge clients without concrete proof. Client could have been there for companionship and not sex.

And it begins...

Won't do you any good. If you notice they took over a year to complete their operation. That means photographs and complete backgrounds of every client that ever went into that place.

I see more of this type of operations happening soon.

Last year the government was passing a new law.

The RCMP informs the government of all major operations. So they new this investigation would coincide with Conservative Government agenda.

Very impressive work I have to say.
Well said icespot...

(Thank gawd I don't have yellow fever and only ever saw one agency girl, and even that was "off premises"...)

Myself, I'm not married, so no repercussion there, but I still have my family and a professional career to protect, so I stopped hobbying about a year ago, knowing that with these new laws, there wasn't likely going to be a rash of arrests as soon as it came into effect. More likely it would take some time to compile some evidence and build cases etc.

Buyer beware gentleman... and I hope you guys are protecting yourselves.

Do us hobbyists have anything to worry about?
The stupid ones ALWAYS have something to worry about! LoL But if you are careful, you will be fine.

it's always a good idea to just buy a pay-as-you-go cheap cell phone at 7-11 for cash and use that... for only $10 you can change the number and SIM when ever you want.

Even I bought one. I have found more guys are wanting to call from payphones now. Maybe payphones will be making a comeback! lol

Dozens of officers raid apartment buildings in human trafficking investigation

Toronto police raided a cluster of apartment buildings in the city's west end as part of a human trafficking investigation.
Dozens of officers filtered through the buildings on Chalkfarm Drive, near Jane Street and Wilson Avenue, before dawn on Thursday.
Police said the sex crimes unit raided the buildings, acting on several search warrants, but would not provide further details.

Several people were seen being taken into custody, but police have not said exactly how many people were arrested, or what charges had been laid.
Toronto Police Sex Crimes Unit Insp. Joanna Beaven-Desjardins is expected to speak at a news conference scheduled for 10 a.m. at police headquarters.

So if the clients spend their money at super expensive slave operations should .. revel in heaven ?

So if they were not spending money at the super cheap locations ... they would be spending more money at your location ???.

BTW: The reference to 'yellow fever' is misguided. These operations also exist with imported European girls and even home grown. Blame that arogant asshole Harper and his supporters of the new prostitution bill that promote this activity rather than legalizing and licensing prostitution.

I said this before and will say it again when ever seeing a SP either indy or with an agency do not communicate through texts as they are easier to prove purchase of sex.
If girls or agencies are unwilling to communicate via calls and insistent on texts just move on to the next SP or agency, as there are so many to choose from that you can speak with over the phone.

Every time I see "text only" in ads I skip to the next ad and completely ignore the ad, even if I call an SP and she does not answer her phone but responds back via text with all the details of her services and rates I just ignore the text and move on to the next.
SP's have to realize it's very unwise to communicate via text under the new circumstances, if for any reason the SP in question gets stopped by cops her phone communications can and will be used in court system to prove purchase of sex. If they can't understand this they don't deserve your business.

This is big. Two major Toronto Asian shops were involved.
Any names or just speculation?

I suppose there could be agencies involved but it sounds more like the type of operation a friend suspects was going in the second floor of a building he bought on Ossington north of Queen several years ago. He said the 2nd floor had 6-8 rooms, each with nothing more than a disgusting mattress on the floor. The rooms looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years.

He told me it was one of many similar locations in the area that provided young Asian girls for Asian men. They would find out about it through word of mouth as apposed to advertising which is how they flew under the radar, providing young and underage girls. When he was renovating the building, he would often see young Asian girls being ushered into nearby buildings through the back alleyway.

Who knows how big the operation was in that area but it does sounds very similar to the ring they just busted.

I stopped going to Asian only agencies years ago because of B&S pictures and human trafficked girls and will never do so again, so should everyone else.
I don't see this as a big surprise that this happened to Asian agencies as anyone that would have visited should of had a slight idea that some of these girls were trafficked here for the purpose of prostitution.

If anyone is caught and charged by the police for using these agencies they deserve it and I have zero sympathy for them.
No one should be supporting these agencies that use human trafficked girls. AKA Asian Agencies with girls coming every other week and then going back to their homelands only to pop back up a few months later.
