This shit happens all the time in the U.S

What am I missing?

Young couple, pretty girl. They (she) had a growing social media presence. Also, they were a couple months into “van life”, which is getting more popular with people looking to travel, save on rent etc. There’s also the movie, “Nomadland”, which won 3 Oscars this year.

Should other cases like this get as much coverage? Absolutely, but, sadly, the other cases won’t draw in as many viewers.

I loved hearing Dog the Bounty Hunter was way off on the Appalachian Trail trying to find him when the body was discovered. LOL, maybe next time Dog! Get those ratings back up!

He likely offed himself and the body was then eaten by insects, fish, gators.

Some people never want to believe and want to dream up silly conspiracy theories. He got in a fight with her, killed her, hid the body, fled, went back home, fled with his parents' help, then offed himself. It is what it is.

Just because stories get coverage, doesn’t mean you have to follow them. I was thinking more about the families of the other missing people, more coverage could lead to better chances of finding out what happened to them.

Road trips are one thing, but living in a van with another person would be impossible for a lot of people. You’d have to be really close with your partner, and have lots of alone time. Some families live 6 deep in converted school buses.

I’d like to do an extended solo road trip across the country, maybe grab some type of 4x4 with a camper on it, but not any time soon.

Having dealt with lots of trauma, the "he/she didn't behave the way I think someone should" isn't that convincing to me.

You would think others would follow the evidence and allow experts to perform their assessment of the situation, but seems like he is already guilty and convicted by the crowd because it’s seems like he is guilty. I didn’t think of you as the one to go against the grain and say what you think is the right approach here I don’t know much about the case but this seems to be the common attitude nowadays convict before allowing evidence, science, experts and objective facts to determine what happened here.

Well in spite of the seemingly overwhelmingly convincing evidence pointing to his guilt, and the fact that his parents seemed to be in on it to the point of giving him a getaway. If he is found innocent, doesn't really make much difference to him at this point.
