AOC is, of course, a moron, but I don't believe her behaviour was especially careless. The Omicron variant is simply so transmissible that all of the measures the public is ordered to, or recommended to follow are just not accomplishing much. Fortunately, Omicron is also not very serious (unless you already have significant health problems).

Perhaps if enough politicians were to contract Covid these points might penetrate their thick skulls. As result, I would like ALL politicians who do not have any signficant co-morbidities to contract Covid as soon as possible. Follow AOC's lead. I think that's the only hope that the public has to get back on a path to normal economic and social activity.

While it's still best to be vaccinated, the reality of the Omicron variant is that vaccinations help most people to minimize the impact of the virus. Vaccination doesn't seem to offer any protection from contracting the disease.

She is pretty stupid, but even the stupid people have the self preservation instinct. Judging by the pictures from her vacation in Miami, I'd say that Covid-19 was the last thing on her mind. Maybe she listened to the head of the CDC who told all that over 75% of all covid related victims had at least four comorbidities. Either way, she didn't consider it a threat to her. A good example for the rest of the population.

So she found out, being outdoors you can still get covid, it doesn't pose danger to majority of the population. It's as simple as flu posing dangers to the elderly and those with underlying illness...take the shots and be done with it.

Pfizer is now saying that protection from contracting the omicron variant is only at 10% for double-vaxxed individuals where the vaxxes occurred more than 4 months ago. But the symptons are far less serious if the person is double-vaxxed.

So she should be fine in a couple of days.
