This morning I found the 1st person in my life that freely admitted they don't like Bob Marley's music.
I was playing my iPod (quietly) and while on random a Marley song came on, and this "person" said, "you know, I really don't like Bob Marley" my response was along the lines of "I'll bet you didn't admit that at your parole hearing"
I just always assumed everybody liked Bob. I mean, whenever there was a boring house party, or you were at the cottage, or with a lady, the one thing everybody could agree on musically was, "lets here some Marley" the music would start, people would dance, enemies forgave each other, babies were conceived...
Maybe it's just me, but if you hate Bob Marley, I'm just going to assume you enjoy torturing small animals, hate blue skies, love, and the laughter of children.

I agree 100%, and even I skip the few songs I have on my playlist quite often. To admit you don't like, or NEVER liked his music just seems...weird. To me anyway.

Black people don't like Marley. At least that's what my one black friend told me. Something about being a sell-out, whatever that means. I'm pretty sure he speaks for the entire "community".

Oh, he likes Marley. But then he likes skiing too, and that's not terribly common either...

A few of his tracks always put me in the right mood, always. Marley is Marley.

I realize his music may not turn everybody on, but he's one of those musicians that was/is almost universally loved.

I'm not sure if your being sarcastic and telling a joke, or seriously making totally inaccurate generalizations. lol. I am pretty sure your friend doesn't speak for the entire community... Your one black friend I mean. lol
