So here's the issue, I have to think Atkins is on the hot seat. So does he have the authority to make such impactful decisions about the club's future?

For a while I've been wondering about this. Many people feel he's not on the hot seat because he's Shapiro's lacky, but I tend to disagree and feel from an optics stand point, Rogers have no choice but pressure Shapiro into firing his buddy.

I actually like his double handed “swat swing.” Obviously he’s not even in the same breath by a very very extremely distant long shot….. but it’s kind of the double handed big boys swat swing that Babe Ruth had. The only difference is Daniel couldn’t hit the side of a barn. Ross needs to go, but I like this move. Give Addison Barger his time to develop into a big leaguer. He’s got pretty good plate coverage. It’s only a matter of time.

Now we need to get rid of Springer, and use Turner as a pinch hitter lol.

The only reason that it's a good move is because picking up Vogelbach in the 1st place was an atrocious move. Atkins accomplished nothing.

Vogelbach allowed the Jays to keep Horwitz and Barger in the minors long enough that they will need to play an additional season before becoming eligible for salary arbitration and free agency.

As much as I like Springer he is past due date and with his salary he is untradeable so WTF do you do?
