First ten games are on the road against quality teams. They escape at .500 that is a good thing.

I think we may have finally found a GM that is worse than JP Riccardi. I didn’t think that was possible, but apparently it is.

As long as they can sell tickets and lots of beer and people watch on tv.........there will be no commitment to winning....and the powder puff line up will lead the league in being shut out. This is not a play off team and they have no offensive superstars. Oh one guy who occasionally launch a 450 footer, but then immediately goes into a slump.
They should have at least fired Shneider and brought in a hard nosed no nonsense manager.

Phil, you were right to tell us not to give hope so early in the season. You could tell that this team has something about it.

Great character to take the lead with 2 out in the ninth. 2-1 Jays. 3-3 after 6 road games.

This is not the Leafs. Jays would lose support much faster than the Leafs.

If the Jays tank you can't put the blame entirely on John Schneider, Jethro Bodine frittered away a strong offense.

El Capitan decided the game tonight by picking off Altuve at third. He may look like Guillermo's son but his throws are pinpoint accurate. Then Babe hit a two run dinger.

Very true. The Carlton Street Cashbox (yeah, I still call it that) will always be full for the leafs, no matter what the record is. The Jays on the other hand will see a drastic loss in attendance, TV viewership and revenue if they are not competitive.

This team should start to round into form by the end of April. Romano and Swanson will be back in the bullpen. Jansen will be back to split the catching duties with Kirk. Yariel Rodriguez will take over as fifth starter, and Joey Votto will be on the bench and an important dugout presence. And the schedule will lighten up.

After the broadcast one of the analysts pointed out Altuve was contemplating stealing home because the Astros noticed Kirk was lax and careless when throwing the ball back to the pitcher after a pitch. They showed a play earlier in the game when an Astro player basically waltzed to second base because Kirk wasn't paying attention.

A.A record as a Gm is 396 wins and 414 losses for a 489% win and no playoff apperances
Adkins record as a Gm is 521 wins and 511 losses for a 505% win and 3 playoff apperances
So to all you A.A fans whose the better record, Also left the minor leagues in shambles Adkins had to fix that problem

Tonight's game was painful to watch. Way too many uncompetitive at bats and pitching was brutal. I won't be patient this year and will stop watching if things don't turnaround. Planned trips to watch Jays in Fenway and Wrigley on hold.

They made the playoffs under A.A in 2015 and won a round with a much smaller payroll than Shatkins has. The team that went to the playoffs in 2016 and beat the Rangers again was pretty much the same team under AA. Bichette Jansen Guriel and Vladdy are A.A draft picks and signings. Nothing came of the minor leaguers he traded away. Nothing has become of draft picks that Shatkins has drafted except for Moreno and he was traded for a defense first outfield with a below average bat. A.A also had to fix the mess that J.P left. A.A also built a World Series champion in Atlanta with a smaller payroll than Shatkins has now.

The Blue Jays are the first team in the MLB since 1901 to be both no-hit and one-hit in the first 7 games of a new season.

These stats seem fishy to moi.
It appears he missed AA's last season as GM with the Jays. If you add the wins and losses of that season to the record he quoted you get AA's complete W-L record with the Jays. Also, AA absolutely made the playoffs with the Jays as their GM. Again, it was in that final year with the Jays.

I will say that Teo for Swanson was a win.

^^^^ The line on Teo thus far. He sure sure would look good in the Blue Jays lineup right now. Small sample size… but still.

Is it safe to say the manager has lost the room yet? After that crap against the Twins and pulling Jose Barrios, how the hell do you keep your team engaged and take what you say seriously?
