How much of this loss are we attributing to the manager?
A lot!! The Jays should have won this game!!

Check out last 2 minutes of this video. Totally pathetic on the Jays part!!

Unfair assessment

Jays are bringing up rookies to assess and showcase for winter trades so winning is secondary

I love listening to Dan Shulman and Buck Martinez on the tv broadcast. But sometimes I think Buck is going to explode for the following reasons:
--pitchers throwing a change up on a 3-2 count.
--pitchers walking the 8th and/or 9th batters.
--catchers who have one knee on the ground when they are behind the plate.
--people who talk about catchers "framing" a pitch.

I love his combination of knowledge, passion, and humour.

No matter how bad the team is, they make any game interesting. And they have great chemistry and good humour. And does any broadcast team give you more information about the other team and each player. The whole package is outstanding.

Everybody hates Rogers, but I believe that they must have the best broadcast in all of baseball.

I agree with all that. I would also add that the stories they tell often come from their vast personal experience in the game. For example, during last night's game they were talking about how tall the Mets starting pitcher is(6'7") and started to reminisce about other tall, overpowering pitchers. They brought up the name J.R. Richard who was a 6'8" powerhose for the 1970's Houston Astros. Buck said he never played with Richard in the MLB, but caught him in the 1971 AAA all star game. I know that's trivial, but some sports fans live for stuff like that.

Exactly. It's little things like that, on top of their excellent production quality, that I feel I'm getting educated every game. Zwelling and Hazel also provide up the minute happenings on the field and in the dugout. And Siddall and Joseph provide very technical details in the studio with some personal anecdotes. Oh yeah, and even though she's useless otherwise, Emily has a smoking body. It really is a total package.

I remember one Boston broadcast and they spent about 15 minutes talking about what a good dresser Jim Rice was. A fucking waste of time. The only time they talked about another player a tiny bit was when he was at bat. I think he passed but Jerry Remy had to be the biggest homer of all time.

Emily Agard got the job that Caroline Szwed coveted.

Nice that Bo wants to stay in Toronto, yet the Shatniks want to trade both him and Vlady. They are surplus to requirement.

Nice that Bo wants to stay in Toronto,
He seemed frustrated, disheartened and disinterested this year. But with the infusion of new young getting better results than the departees combined with their enthusiasm may have re-motivated Bo. If he can return to form, it can only be good for the Jays.

Yet the Shatniks want to trade both him and Vlady. They are surplus to requirement.
That may be (highly) debatable. A championship, or even a WS appearance would result in huge ROI, even if the payroll went up by $50M.

If they traded both of them, the team would be a pariah to the fan base.
