I understand what your saying, but I doubt Bichette has any interest in this. He's rather play out next year hope to cash in, and if he has a bad year he'll probably sign a one year deal which is what most of these guys do now. He'll go year by year until he has big year then try to cash in.
I also think that Bichette wants out of Toronto, as soon as possible!!

I actually went to Google to double check. No that three year extension ends at the end of next year. After 2025 that’s it he is a free agent. I think you are confused on when that three-year extension is finished. That was just a three-year package deal to avoid arbitration during those three years to settle at a comfortable amount. I think.

awwww...no I don't....but thanks coming out.

You can now go back to boring us with your dream of Teoscar Hernandez coming back Toronto.

Why would you sign Bichette right now??? You have him locked up for two more years, and he's coming off a very bad year. No need to extend him whatsoever.
OK sounds good buddy 😬😂. When you post with an annoying approach to debating in the back of your mind with a pickle shoved up your ass, I DO NOT thank you for coming out. I like it better when you’re cool.

…..instead of labelling you as completely lost and confused, I approached this in a way to shoulder some of the confusion with you and admit that I also had to go to Google to search up that three year extension to avoid arbitration because it is a little confusing. At least I think it is. Take the pickle out of your ass, and take the numbskull pride and push it aside and have some fun 🙃

Bo has to get healthy before he can think about big contracts. Calf strains can be onerous, he may be out for the year. Vlady wants stability, he has a growing family.

Wow, I have the pickle up my ass?? I really must have struck a nerve. I was merely poking fun at your obsession with Teo, which you yourself even make fun of . I guess your the only one allowed to make fun of yourself with this obsession. Maybe I should have put a "lol" after the sentence to illustrate it was supposed to be light hearted. I'll refrain from doing it going forward.

Anyway, I got his extension off by a year so labelling me "completely lost and confused" wouldn't have held a lot of merit. My point was Bichette wouldn't sign an extension this year with the way he played and on the other side, the club probably have concerns about giving him the big contract he wants at the term and price, so he'll just play out the final year of his contract.

your obsession with Teo,
Damn right. And I called that trade a mistake, along with Ross Atkins inability to extend him, every single step of the way. But hey at least two years later we get to watch Guerrero present him with his old Toronto jersey during the Home Run Derby as a way to motivate him to win. What’s the argument again? The luxury tax? Or the fact that Teo was going to be a free agent? Defence is shit and he strikes out too much….

That’s all bullshit. One of the countries biggest corporations owns this team and they were prepared to give Shohei Ohtani over 600 million. We traded an affordable cleanup hitter, protection in the lineup, mentor and friend to Guerrero away for nothing.

do I want a GM that would bring him back? Absolutely. Do you watch any of the podcasts on YouTube? ALL OF THEM say trading Hernandez was a mistake. Even Jeff Blair says that. Jeff Blair has been rooting for a reunion ever since the 2023 trade deadline.

Your preaching to the choir here. I thought the trade was a shitty one.

Hernandez could be playing for the Chicago White Sox for all I care. Every single at bat you can slice the buzz intensity in the air with a knife. It might be a dream but I would love for that feeling to be brought back to this city.

Hernandez was a free agent signing this year by the Dodgers at $23 million on a one year deal. I doubt the jays or any other team would've given him that. He is also on a stacked lineup which clearly benefits his stats.

Stacked team or not, he's one of the better hitters in the league so I'm not sure why no other team would give him 23 million for two or three years given how little that is in today's market.

Having that said, if he could have got more I'm sure he would have so it is a bit puzzling.

Seeing how the Jays needed his bat much more than the Dodgers and the had just Jays saved $700M on Ohtani, Toronto could have easily signed him.

What good is saving about $5M on one year when you come in last in your division and you have lost the faith of a once very loyal fan base.

These Teoscar discussions are making me extremely happy.

But instead we got IkF, Justin Turner and Kevin Kiermaier. Lol great spending Ross!

Phil, you're doing Atkins a great disservice by omitting Votto from that list. Did you do that intentionally to make him look worse. Or maybe it makes him look better. LOL
