I really hope they don’t get rid of Guerrero and his 4 big home runs this year.
One thing about Vladdy Jr that we are all forgetting, he's not a HR hitter, he's a line driver, he hits mostly singles and doubles. When he does hit a HR, they are of the line drive type, because he's so strong, he's so strong that most potential triples end up being doubles only.

John Schneider saying “tip your hat” about last nights loss I think has some people upset. I know this team isn’t his fault, but I think he’s lost the room. After his decision to pull Jose Berrios in the playoffs, how can anyone take him seriously anymore.

We still don't know who's decision it really was to pull Berrios. Firing Schneider isn't going to accomplish anything at this point at Atkins won't do it because it will make him look bad. They are going to die on this hill, and Atkins will be relieved of his duties. Shapiro will probably get a bit of a talking to that he only has a few more years to show better results.

And taking away the anomaly year of 2016, the Blue Jays haven't won a postseason game since 1993.

Some Blue Jays attendance stats:

1993: 4,057,947 (1st in AL and MLB)
2016: 3,392,099 (1st in AL)

2000: 1,705,712 (10th in AL) with 83-79 record.

2024: 723,581 (2nd in AL). Will they still be second, when hope is lost? The window on this season is closing, quickly.

100% they are trying. The team made the playoffs the last 2 years so progress was being made,
Now that 30% of the teams make the playoffs, getting knocked out in the Wild Card round isn't really progress. It just keeps them from getting top prospects in the amateur draft. Those go to teams which are building a boat that can sail a long distance, as opposed to patching a boat which is taking on water.

And when was the last time the Dodgers, Mets or Yankees won the WS ?
The 2024 Los Angeles Dodgers have been strategically built to win the World Series. The biggest sports signing in history with Ohtani…… and then protecting him in the order is my main man Teoscar Hernandez. Oh and Teoscar is good enough to play left field for them. Brilliant GM good luck to the Dodgers this year…… As the last place Blue Jays got rid of Hernandez because his defence sucks.

Dammit once again I’m posting about Hernandez. I apologize. OK I’ll stop.

What teams are that exactly??? I’m interested in seeing your list of the teams that are “trying to a championship”.

Again, you seem to be confusing “trying” with results.

you also forgot about 2015 where they came damn close, but I’m still not sure if your blaming ownership or the GM.

There’s rumblings now about them possibly dealing and rebuilding. Trading Guerrero and Bichette are humungous mistakes. I would worry about what surrounds them and maybe make some deals to put some better pieces around them. John Schneider saying “tip your hat” about last nights loss I think has some people upset. I know this team isn’t his fault, but I think he’s lost the room. After his decision to pull Jose Berrios in the playoffs, how can anyone take him seriously anymore. I know Matt Chapman and Whit Merrifield were disgusted. The whole blame game between Ross Atkins and John Schneider was pathetic. How are these people still here?

Something to keep in mind: Aaron Judge was 25 years old when he broke into the big leagues. Vladimir Guerrero is now 25 years old. They need to build around him. I really hope they don’t get rid of Guerrero and his 4 big home runs this year. Lol I think my grandmother would’ve had more home runs.

But they haven’t done yet have they??

so Ohtani goes to the place he wanted to go and a club that gave him 700 million is to risk the fact he doesn’t screw the team for the next decade. Like all teams trying win, we’ll see if those moves work out.
To claim the blue jays front office isn’t “trying to win” is both naive and asinine.

Again, the results are a different conversation. I think where they really dropped the ball is not re-upping on semien.

I think people are underestimating how much luck goes into this. You need your players to be healthy, and not only healthy but hope they perform like expected.

When your whole offence under performances which is essentially what’s been going on with the jays, it makes you look really bad.

When your 3 “super stars” bring Springer, vlad and Bo (Bo only this year) it’s hard to win. Not to mention guys like varsho who also regressed.

the stadium renovations were done to pull the wool over the fans eyes to distract from the shitshow management
schneider has to go, the jays need to stop hiring or promoting rookie managers
need a new hitting coach
get vogelbach, manoah and kirk on a legit diet program

Unfortunately, she passed away in 2022 at the age of 95. However in her 70s, she fractured her shoulder playing soccer as a goalkeeper. She made a diving save from my cousin kicking a soccer ball. She was a warrior. Tougher than George Springer 100%. Didn’t make that grimacing Springer face.

Any relation to “Black Booty Lover?” I am with you on this one. This team had every opportunity to maintain an offensively powerful lineup. But because Ross Atkins tried to sell us on this whole defence run prevention theory, we lost out on some great run producing talent. Marcus Semien, Teo… etc. etc. Vladimir was seeing tons of pitches that he could do damage on. Not making the playoffs in 2021, but man oh man they should’ve kept that powerful lineup together.

Player development and the culture of winning are lacking.
I advocated for trading Vlad when he could barely play 3rd base.
Unless he can dump a barrel of water on a player being interviewed he doesn’t seem to care about winning. Every year I hear about how he’s in the best shape of his life. I watch that big ass waddle off the field and it looks the same to me. Maybe we can trade him for hot dogs.

letting alex leave was the beginning of the end
Ed Rogers allowed the used car salesman to sweet talk and finesse him into ruining this franchise.

What;s Shapiro's claim to fame? renovating Dunedin and Rogers Centre, other than its been a yearly choke job.

Add to that the fans love a high powered offence more than efficient defence. Give them a 10-8 victory over a 2-1 loss anyday.
