agreeSeattle or Toronto would have gotten obliterated by Houston.
He was hit by Diego Castillo. Very strange with absolutely no relation, I don’t believe anyways, to Max Castillo. Max being the kid that the Blue Jays called up and traded this year. LOL these guys have the exact same body and the exact same pitching mechanics. Pretty much identical stuff too.I was surprised that no warnings were issued. Especially after Merrifield got beaned.
The carbon fiber batting helmet saved Merrifield from worse injury, at least we can be thankful for that.Especially after Merrifield got beaned.
I tend to ignore idiots.Just another totally idiotic comment by someone who obviously has zero baseball IQ

Or maybe he coulda left Gausman (the 110 million dollar stud) in to get himself outta the situation instead of looking 3 batters ahead. Or maybe pulled Bass sooner? That dude couldn’t get an out that day. Or maybe take some responsibility for the loss during interviews, like a decent manager…instead of “it sucks” on repeat. No magic wand required.Says the guy who blames an epic bullpen collapse on the Manager. Maybe he should have waved his magic wound over the bullpen so they would have pitched better.

Yeah…it’s “magic wand”, not “magic wound”.
Hey you learned something !
I guess my point is that the bullpen didn’t blow it.Of course he should have left Gausman in. I mean...he only gave up 3 hits in a row, and the Jays had 8-1 lead.
I mean....what kind of manager pulls their starter after the line up has seen him 3 times, they hit 3 singles in a row and he's got a 8-1 lead? What a horrible decision. What was he thinking???

Except Bass, IIRC, could not get anybody out. Everybody reached. Gausman, though, looked strong for most of the game, until the 6th. I think he still had some gas in the tank (he'd thrown 95 pitches) and could have finished that inning. One aspect that no one talks about is the pulling of Bass. He has been good all year 1.54 ERA. Chances are he could have limited the damage to one or two runs and got a least a couple outs - just based on his record if they had left him in. That would have preserved a lead and turned it over to Romano for 3 or maybe 4 outs. Romano ends up gassed and even if they had pulled it out in the bottom of ninth or extra innings, they still would have needed game 3 and how much could he pitch in game 3?
Leaving Bass in is essentially the same argument as leaving Gausman in. They both could get outs.
Big thumbs up and absolutely! you nailed it!Or maybe he coulda left Gausman (the 110 million dollar stud) in to get himself outta the situation instead of looking 3 batters ahead. Not sure if this was the right move for the Jays. Time will tell.John Schneider named full time manager, signed through 2026 with option.
Bring up top prospect pitcher ,Ricky Tiedeman, for relief , he's blowing everyone away in minors, Let's see how he handles ML batters
