I turned it off when they were up 8-1. How much did they win by and what time is tomorrow's game?
Lmfao!

I swear Toronto puts so much blind faith in their closers these days. Even John Gibbons did it with Osuna. Give them a clean ninth for fuck sake‘s. Gaston is the only guy that had the roles perfectly placed. Yeah we all know Ward/Henke. But he had the roles perfect. Even after Henke left. I love how in 93 they had Timlin, Cox and then Ward.

This whole thing today seemed like a scrambled mess to close that thing out. When you watch other teams In the playoffs and the arms that come out of the bullpen, You see Romano is nothing more than a local hero.

And when will there be an honest conversation about Guerrero - 2 for 15 in playoffs........and I still want to know what his average is with runners in scoring position.

While I'm at it......Burn that stupid home run jacket!

As a Yankee fan I feel for the Toronto faithful. That was painful to watch.
Kind of annoying when you see Vlady hit a solo shot and they’re losing 10 to 1, and he’s doing a dance with the jacket.

I have officially claimed the Yankees as my team lol. This past summer I was in New York for 17 days. And last year in 2021, I was in New York for 15 days. That’s it they’re my team :).

….he’s really not. He is a Mary Browns chicken shit idiot. A clumsy doofus. Even I could steal on his back leg trigger giveaway. And I have a bad ankle problem. Oh my God even Andy Petit would’ve been throwing 97 miles an hour on today’s guns.

What the fuck are you two babbling on about it?? He was the 4th best closer in baseball this year with less blown saves then one of the 3 pitchers better then him. The stupidity in here is mind boggling sometimes when it comes to the jays. It was an 8-1 lead. Should never even got to Romano.

And this folks is why you don't go out of the dugout for curtain calls when you are only up 4 runs and the game isn't even half over.

How long is Springer going to last playing centre at this injury rate?

The whole sport has become ridiculous with this garbage. Dumb ass dances and hand shakes and home run jackets. The Mariners have some stupid star wars helmet they put on. The Yankees look they have gone old school and got rid of that shit.

Reminds of this between Tom Cruise and Cuba Gooding Jr.

From the 2:15 mark.

Lol. I think we’re a little bitter. Yes Jordan Romano was an all-star. He had that consecutive save streak earlier this season. Tonight‘s game shouldn’t even have gotten to that point of needing him. But I have sensed a nailbiter quality in using him. It just feels like he’s not perfect. He’s not lights out. On paper though, Schneider has been aggressive with using him and he should be. I like guys that throw a heavy ball, and that come after hitters aggressively. Romano is not that guy for me. I feel like Romano has a horseshoe up his ass at times. He’s been very lucky on occasion. Not lights out… but more of a guy that has been lucky with the ball hit right at somebody. Too many nail biting experiences for my comfort level. On paper however he is the guy. But definitely I feel bitterness and the game shouldn’t even have gotten to him.

I thought Schneider over-managed the pitching staff today. Shouldn't have taken Gausman out to begin with. He was a bit shaky starting the 6th but he'd been sitting for a while. Should have given him more of a chance to get back in sync. And then once he made the move to Mayza there didn't really seem to be any specific plan or rhyme to the moves he made. It just looked chaotic. Losing Merrifield and Springer didn't help. The Jays seemed totally done when they saw Springer lying in the outfield barely moving.

So who's the manager next season? Do they bring Schneider back based on the strong finish to the season (this series notwithstanding) or do they do like the Florida Panthers did with Andrew Brunette, say thank you for a pretty good season followed by a disappointing playoff and hire someone with more experience?
guys...stop over thinking this...lol. Jesus man....

Nothing was over managed. Gausman was done. He gave up 3 singles in a row and batters had already seen him 3 times. It was an 8-1 game for fuck sakes. There's nothing more to this other than a an entire bullpen that pitched bad on the same night.

I think Gausman was at 95 pitches as well. Not saying he couldn't have gone further but I'm not sure how many times this year he has gone to 100.

I'm betting not too many if at all. Maybe Mayza was affected by the long period of time waiting when Springer and Bo were down.

Things seemed to unravel once Springer was carted off. This one is going to sting for a long time......

As a Yankee fan I'll never forget us losing to the Red Sox in 2004. Up 3-0 and blowing it!.......To the Red Sox!....I'm getting upset just typing this and it was 18 freaking years ago, lol.

He got pulled after recording his second out with the bases loaded. He was finding his rhythm and he could’ve gotten out of that.

This is the truth.

Bo should have relented on Crawford's blooper, the player facing the ball usually makes the catch - even if the odds are against him. Bless George Springer, he plays the game hard, he's been playing hurt almost all year. He got his bell wrung by Bo's forearm, he says he's ok.

Schneider over-managed, Gausman deserved to finish the inning, it would have been a show of confidence. Instead it lead to a Royal Bed Shitting.

I watched the replay of "Bo Bi-shit" colliding with Springer a few times. Springer would have made the catch, you can see that he calls of Bobo , but had to veer to his left to avoid a him. If George makes catch inning is over.

Fuck'n "Bi-shitt" always tries to be the hero!

He is a defensive liability trade the little fucker!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was so bizarre, 8-1, then somehow bam, tie game. Never a fan of Bo, he seems to be too into himself and the fact he's a pro athlete, the hair, the "B"andana I don't know.
The Vladdy tweets are ruthless though, especially with the "my house" sound bite.

The jays were in a group of 2nd tier teams, I'm not surprised they lost, just how they lost. Bichette led the AL in hits yet now he's garbage. It brushed his glove, the outfielder only calls the guy off when there is a standing catch, this was a desperation play. You can't stop there if you're bichette.

Sure Vlady deserves his share of criticism but he's never put Teo in harm's way like Bo did with George. I'm going to give them a pass due to inexperience, hopefully they'll learn from their mistakes.

Hadn't expected to transition to the Raptors, Don Carlino and Shaquista so quickly.

I know we've disagreed on many topics but this is one time I'm all with you.

Schneider has been almost universally praised for the way he used the bullpen this year. Did last night work out? Evidently not. But for people to be calling him an amateur and stupid when they have 100% hindsight is meaningless. They would have been saying the same thing about LaRussa for letting Eckersley pitch to Alomar in '92. It's a different story when you are the one having to make the decisions in real time.

Most of these "experts" would have made a dozen other mistakes before Schneider even pulled Gausman.

Is it just me…or is anyone else put off by the fact that the Seattle pitchers seemed to be throwing intentionally at the Jays’ hitters?

Usually I would wish my opponent the best in the next round but I kinda hope Seattle gets obliterated.

I was surprised that no warnings were issued. Especially after Merrifield got beaned.
