agreed, he's got a great fastball, he's hit 97mph, needs to abandon the cutter.....Kikuchi still needs to throw more fastballs. He got away with some cutters that didn't move very much.

I agree that he is an early front runner. I am a bit concerned that they are using him so much this early in season. They need him firing on all cylinders late in the season if they hope to qualify for the post season and go deep.Jordan "Vic" Romano potential Cy Young winner.
So did Tom Henke. Every pitcher allows base runners.Romano gets the saves done, but he's been kind of shaky lately, he allows base runners.
And if the don't get saves now they'll be out of the running by late season.I agree that he is an early front runner. I am a bit concerned that they are using him so much this early in season. The Jays have the lowest batting average with RISP in the American League. It may be a bit under .170 Next worse is about .190The Jays have scored a total of 19 runs in their last 8 games. An average of 2.375 runs per game. And miraculously they are 4-4 over that stretch.
At some point the bats are going to wake up.
The problem with Grichuk has been getting on base. He just doesn't draw walks. But he has power, can produce runs and plays decent defense.Rowdy Tellez has Vladdy numbers for the Brewers. With the paltry offense Raimel Tapia is providing I would have kept Grichuk.
