It hurts to say this but this Yankee team looks damn good right now. Looking forward to Manoah getting the ball today. Always like the Jays chances when he is on the mound.

Yanks are too good, I hope they choke in the playoffs, Jays are just as good as the other good teams in MLB.

Fuck!, Jays are wearing the red shirts today, IIRC , do they not have a losing record when donning red?

So far in this series Yankees pitching is out performing Blue Jays pitching.

Cole against Kikuchi tomorrow.........
Yes, that is true ...but it is the offense that has tanked. Biggio does not belong in a major league line up, Springer is looking old for his age (hope I am wrong)....and does anyone know Geurrero's batting average with runners in scoring position? He rarely gets the big hit...the one the other night against a minor league pitcher for Baltimore an exception.

The Yankees have outplayed the Jays and they are firing on all cylinders, so they don't need help. Today's game could have been close and exciting but the umps were terrible. Add Ryan Addition to the umpire hall of shame which includes Angel Hernandez and Jeff Nelson. Bring on automated strike/ball calling.

Yep great comeback today. Kikuchi was Kikuchi and didn't last long, but the bats were reminiscent of last year's bats. Fun to watch.

My mistake it's Severino going for the Yankees today not Cole as ESPN were stating.
You are partially right Cole was supposed to start. Aaron went with Severino instead - Vlady has feasted on Cole including the three homer game.

The problem with this current Yankees team, there's no one to hate on it. Still a fan of Josh Donaldson, Da Judge is a gentleman and Giancarlo Stanton is moody but modest. There's no Mighty A-Roid, no Smelly Odor to fart in the general direction of.

Watched Moreno stretch a single into a double today. Jeez, he’s fast! Might even be the fastest runner on the team. And he’s a catcher.
So was Craig Biggio (414 career stolen bases) and he eventually changed positions, twice. Ironically, Moreno was converted to catcher by the Jays. Reports say Moreno was an infielder but don't specify. He looks like he has the athletic ability to play several other positions. It would give the Jays a lot of lineup flexibility if he could play the occasional game or a few innings at another position.

Captain Kirk has hit 8 HRs since May 31, he's on pace for 30+ dingers.
I'm really enjoying watching the Kirk story unfold. He is such an improbable emerging star. To have risen so fast and become such an important contributor at his position, with his stature and (lack of) running speed is simply amazing.

Quite the dilemma when Jansen gets back. I say send Moreno back to Buffalo, hopefully Jano starts hitting again, showcase his offense , then trade him for some much needed pitching, then bring Moreno back up.

According to Shulman, Kirky leads the team with 8 infield hits so far this season, that's insane!

X-rays was negative on his hand that was hit by bat , whew!

Borrowing from The Sound of Music; “How do you solve a problem like Kikuchi?” Three year contract. Can’t keep running him out there every 5th day to get shelled. Can’t afford automatic-loss day. Can’t see him being effective in the bullpen. Send him down to the minors maybe like they did with Halladay back in the day to get his act together?
