Disappointing outting from Robbie Ray. Tampa Bay is a good team but a Cy Young contender needs to win that game…imho.

The ump was inconsistent with his balls and strikes all game. In the 9th, there were at least two strike calls (Valera and Teo) that were totally fucked up.

I don't think that he had a bad game. That is a disciplined Rays team and they made him throw a lot of pitches.

As well, that home plate ump was absolutely horrible. I almost thought that it was Angel Hernandez back there.

We need to take at least 1 out of 3 at the Trop to have a chance

Oh what a game, I agree that RR38 needs to elevate the game when playing against the leaders even if the ump was brutal, this is what makes a Cy Young winner.

That was an example of why the Rays are best team in league. Battling every pitch, keeping pressure on the bases. Pitchers keeping the ball down and getting strikes (taking advantage of bad calls). And they have a new horse in Baz.

Well, well, well. Rays got a hold of Jays scouting card on TB hitters in 6th inning when card fell out of Kirk's wrist band when he tagged out Kiermaier. Kiermeir scooped it up and Jays bat boy went over to Rays dugout to retrieve it, but was shooed away.

Maybe they should have sent Manoah over instead.

Since Springer is pretty much an automatic out with that bum leg, I would move him down to ninth until his leg is good again.
I would then move Gurriel Jr up to 4th and Guerrero behind Bichette.

1-Semien
2-Bichette
3-Guerrero
4-Gurriel
5-Hernandez
6-LHB: Valera, Lamb
7-Dickerson
8- Catcher
9-DH:Springer (he will still be ahead of Semien, Bichette and Guerrero like before once lineup is turned over)

Note: Today's game at 3pm
