Let our best pitcher, with extra rest, face their second best pitcher sounds solid to me. We win game 2 and 3 is our best shot against a superior team. Lucky it is a 3 game series as we have no hope in a 7 game series

We will not score a bunch of runs so no running errors is essential. So is an impeccable defense if we can do it. We got an outside chance. No chance of world series as we do not got quality 3 starters. We are about to see what this team can do in pressure against one of the best teams in baseball

ONE of the best middle line up in the game but Bo has not yet returned to his form and Vlad hits too many ground balls

I would rather watch the debate

Maybe next year if we get another great starter in the FA market or smart trade and hope someone else becomes a true quality starter then no injuries

Shoemaker is a good pitcher, if we can eke out a win today, Montoyo will look like a genius.

I think Biggio should lay down a bunt in the first inning to get on base just to shake up Snell, as base runners will be hard to come by against him.

You make some pretty bad assumptions eh? lol
Thank you, BBL. The fact that I might possibly be wrong about the Yanks DFA-ing a catcher who bats a buck-fifty will haunt me for the next several weeks.

This game just doesn't sound right with Buck and Joe Siddall calling it. Dan Shulman is the best

Dude, it was an absolute ridiculous comment. I wouldn’t let it bother you for the next two weeks though.

Dan is contracted elsewhere.
He won't be doing the Blue Jays broadcasts for balance of however long they last in the playoffs.

Pitching was not the problem today.

Tip the cap to the well positioned Rays defenders.
Sometimes It seemed there were 11 fielders (there were not).

Sanchez will be on the Yankees in 2021 (barring a trade).
Smart baseball teams don't get rid of 27 year old catchers for one bad (bastardized) season.
Sanchez was just as bed in 2018.

Last year he hit 34 bombs in 400 AB's but his average was low as he was up and down all tear..

The league has adjusted and he hasn't. He has the talent. He's shown that.

Defensively he has a gun for a arm. But he doesn't move well from side to side. He's also good for whole bunch of catcher interference calls in every season. I've never seen that many combined as he gets.

I think he led the league in mound visits 2 years ago as well. Which slows the game down and puts your fielders asleep.

Yankee fans and management are concerned. I read it all the time. They have a few highly regarded prospects in A ball that are coming through the system.

They had no problem starting Higashioka tonight either. That's a sure sign as well.

Gary Sanchez will 1000% being on the Yankees next year (barring a trade).

No more needs to be said then that.

Due to the NHL playoffs, have not followed the Jays at all this year. Saw part of yesterday's game. Watching to-day's game from the start (0-7 right now).

Here
So That's that!

Next year should be interesting... they are probably 1 or 2 pitchers and a power outfielder short... and the youngsters have a lot more experience under their belt...

2021 or bust!!!!!
