I would have Vladdy Jr as DH from now on, he is brutal at first base. He's young and still learning the position, but they are in a play off run.

My Yankees are going with an opener tonight against the Jays. Michael King...Who?......He's having a bad year so let's see how this goes.

They got thrashed by Boston yesterday but their bull pen didn't get overly taxed. They pitched Erick Kratz in the 9th. He's got a pretty good knuckle ball actually.

This is the first time they have had their intended opening day lineup on the field in quite a while. They're gearing up for the post season.

Keith Giles needs elbow surgery. Vladdi hitting his weight, finally.

The Jays started to slide when Rowdy Tellez went down. For an imposing man he's like a big kid in the dugout, he kept everyone loose. No extravagance, he did the little things.

Pat Boone looks like he's about to have a shit fit.

Some good news, Tellez could possibly return for the playoffs, we need his bat!

How about that Alejandro "Captain" KIrk! He's showing that he belongs in the majors.

Didn't they have another portly catcher with a German name? Rowdy hit the longest home run this season, off the TD sign in the parking lot.

J.P Arencibia got to laugh best at Greg Zaun, he's now working for Yahoo Sports Canada.

Let the Alejandro Kirk era begin! Kirk-mania has arrived. But seriously, I really can’t remember another player like this. Five foot six and 265 lbs.? And he can hit. It’s also so much fun to watch him run the bases.

Even though Jays will probably lose in the first playoff round, it's still fun to watch the young ones develop, especially KIrk, he got a hit off Gerrit Cole last night one of the best pitchers in MLB. Kirk's BA is .412 in the majors.

Magic # = 2, as Stros pounded M's last night. Jays lost 12-1 and bluntly their rotation just cannot handle a good ML hitting team. It's painful. This is the 5th straight game that the winning team Yanks vs Jays has gone into double digits with Monday's game being a Jays' win.

Jays wack NYY this evening, just as I was beginning to fear that they couldn't face a decent Yank starter. The match-up of Tanaka vs Ray appeared unpromising.

Magic # is now 1. Jays and NYY play their 6th game in a row where the winning team blow out the opponent while scoring double digits. Jays win 14-1!

Any Jays' win or M's or A's loss locks 8th seed with 4 games left.

Ain't happening Phil........

My Yankees got pounded on tonight but they will regroup!

Full marks to the Jays for sticking it to them. Nice to see Jansen have a big game maybe that portly dude Kirk is lighting a fire under his ass. Who knows.

Reading the Yankees fan forums and they are really ripping on Gary Sanchez,lol......Jays fans have no idea how mean Yankee fans can be,lol.

Fuck the Wankees!

Kirk is a good hitter, he also knows how to handle pitchers. Jansen is better defensively, he's fit. The Jays are going to insist that Kirk lose weight, he'll burn out fast if he stays at 265 lbs. As for Vladdi, he can sort of get away with it - as long as his gut isn't bigger than his ass. Carrying less weight, he looked like the second coming of Ken Griffey Jr in spring training.

Is Gary Sanchez the worst defensive catcher in the Majors. I'm going to start calling him Ba Ba Booey.

Easy there Von expert Kirk has never played above high A ball. Although his stats were very good lets see what happens once major league scouts start to break him down.

Vladdi needs to drop at least 30 lbs. Jeff Blair said on the fan the other day that they all heard he was going to be lighter going into spring training but he wasn't. It was fake news.

Sanchez doesn't move laterally very well and is prone to catchers interference calls. He must have had at least 5 last year alone. On the bright side he has a cannon for an arm and knows where it's going. He also calls a good game. But his forte is supposed to be his hitting. Which has gone AWOL for about the last year and a third. But every now and then he hits a mammoth home run just to us Yankee fans hopeful. The Yankee brass is getting impatient though and he might be seeing new surroundings soon if things don't turn around. Problem is his trade value is at its lowest right now. He's making 5 mil and is a free agent in 2023.

Predictions on the Blue Jays record for 2020?

I'm going to say 32-28. They'll be helped by playing 10 games against Baltimore.
Pretty good call as they will be very close to that, if not bang on.

Even if they do not go far in the play-offs I think the experience of this small season and mini play-off run will do wonders for this core of youngsters.
