JD gets tossed for arguing strikes. There's a lot of blame to go around for this epic collapse but if there's one person I would blame, its JD. He is batting .150 in Sept with 1 RBI. He may be injured but he didn't come thru when we needed him most.
And Travis has a 16 game hit streak so he came up alot with men on base.
Everyone sucked this month but JD was the biggest disappointment.

Agree. He was the one who said it is the "get it done league".

Shit, now it's 3-2. If Osuna can get one more out, he will still get credit for a save?

P.S. Jays win 3-2. I think Osuna did get credit for the save.

Of course he does, why wouldn't he?

If we can take 2 out of 3 in Seatlle I'll be happy.
And then our dreaded west coast road trip comes to an end and our boys come home again, which means perhaps we can go on a few game winning streak.

It aint over till its over. Also Grilli has 21 Holds right now. Pretty reliable for the most part

Upton and Carrera in the OF.
Upton...... can't believe how much he has deteriorated. 47 games 137 ab batting .197, he has more K's than hits and walks combined 45K 27H 12W. How many base runners has he stranded??? Defensively adequate no longer an outstanding outfielder.
Last year management instilled enthusiasm with their pre deadline signings, this year nothing to build on!

If the season ended today,I believe that Jays play a WC game at BAL. Who would you trust to pitch for that one and done game? Don't laugh but because it's Bal you could entertain the idea of...Dickey pitching! But, I don't know his career record against the Orioles. Even if Dickey failed early in the game then I would have Sanchez as the next pitcher behind Dickey. Boston has a luxury of having two stud starting pitchers in their lineup with Porcello and Price. I don't have any confidence with any Jays pitchers since that debacle of 6 man rotation!

So long as his herniated disk is okay, I have to go with Estrada. Or maybe Happ.

Its a tough one

My choice of Dickey might not work after reading the attached.

Just looking at the 5 - 7 scenario other teams in the WC race would need to achieve the following to match the Jays:

Baltimore 5 - 7
Detroit 8 - 5
Houston 8 - 4
Seattle 8 - 4
New York 10 - 2

Would be horrendously complicated if they all finish exactly like that.

You make it sound like this is unique. Since the AS break, a bunch of Jays have more K's than H+W.
Saunders, Martin, Pillar, and of course Smoak.

The problem with stats and %'s, is that they pan out over a season, but not over a 12 games sample size. Any team - Seattle for instance - could get red hot over the next 10 games and run the table. That's just baseball.

Agreed. But I have to call it a night in the 3rd, and so far Travis is being a train wreck in this game. Such a waste with Happ playing, and you spot Seattle 2 runs.

Will see in the morning how they make out.
Update 6-2 Jays in the 4th. Martian and Saunders hit 2 run home runs, Carrera scored all the way from first on a bloop single.

I hope you stayed up, Kathleen. Unless I'm hallucinating and I'm dreaming I'm back in 2015!

What is .... happening? Is this what they call..... a rally? A bat around inning?
What is this foreign concept hitting with men on base?
Am I dreaming?
