They recently played seven games against the Angels...and lost.

It seems that this team has just quit.

I'm almost done with them. Like I texted Shack earlier....

I'm sick and tired of Donaldsons serious face getting into inning ending double plays and I'm sick and tired of Jose Batista's beard, Sick of looking at Gibbons chewing his gum...I'm sick of Ross Atkins gay porn face (no offence to anyone).... I'm sick of Mark Shapiro's accent.

They need to fire their hitting coach immediately.. Like yesterday!

Blue Jays 2 hits and 0 runs through 5. Stroman pitching a decent game, but no run support. Where have we heard this before? Oh that's right. Liriano last night.

This loss - if it happens - will hurt in the standings. For once, O's, M's and Tigers all won.
Put a fork in them they are done...

.... I'm also sick and tired of watching Edwin socializing at first base with other all stars that reached base, after he himself just finished striking out in the last inning with a runner on third and nobody out because he was trying to hit the ball to Jupiter.

The starting pitching has been not bad actually, except Estrada with his bad back. Most of the starters have pitched well, but the errors and the brain farts on D have contributed to more runs than the first 3/4 of the season. Then of course, when we are down by a run or two, Gibby brings in the B bullpen of Loup, Tepera, Schultz, Feldman, Barnes, etc. who inevitably give up another run or 3, and then the game gets out of hand for our struggling offence.

They are choking and playing way too tight. Evidenced by the unusually high errors and misplays. Their BA w RISP has been bad all season but now it's down right silly. Typically it's a disadvantage to the pitchers since they have to work out of the stretch and concern themselves with a base runner. On Sat the Angels allowed the lead off hitter on base like 7 innings and we managed to score 1 measly run. Awful.

They are way too tense, and should just play relaxed with instincts. They need to shake things up. Doing the same thing and expecting a different result is the clinical definition of insanity.

At least it's driving me insane!

Somewhere but not here.
Look at the bright side. When they don't sign any of the FA's you won't be so disappointed - you may be disappointed in the replacements thou.

For those who want Gibby and his staff gone are likely to get their wish. Can't really blame shapiro / atkins - the position players are for the most part the same ones as 2015. Bullpen sucked but has improved. Rotation is much better than 2015 but exceeding expectations.

Happ is 1 win behind Porcello and needs 1 more win to get to 20. He is also about .15 behind Porcello's ERA. Happ will likely place 2nd or 3rd to Porcello in the Cy unless he has a strong finish. (Sale and Kluber are in the mix too). Something to cheer for over the last 2 weeks.

The next 6 weeks or so have always been the most exciting and interesting parts of baseball. More so lately because there are so many more teams in competition since they added the WC spots...

In a way it's like a horse race and we are now at the quarter pole for the World Series race... lots of horses bunched up at the front with a fair shot at it!

Now that the BJ's are no longer driving me up the wall, I intend to just watch the games without any concern for favorites or who wins or loses... the team that plays best is the team that wins that day's game... the player that makes the most outstanding play/s and the pitcher/s that are most effective are the heroes of the day!

Time to lean back and enjoy what I think is the best of all spectator sports!

More than that, they need to start asking what happened to this team...

There is a story to be told and it is probably buried in what did and did not happen, and why, at that recent "players only" meeting...

I will place my bet on something going on between the players and the manager.

That's what I was thinking too. The only reason why players hold a players-only meeting is because they don't want the manager there.

Like a mutiny of some sort

Best case scenario, this is the rut...they steam roll out of it and catch fire. I'll be honest watching the fan support in Seattle has me a little excited. They still need to fire they're hitting coach.

Estrada dealing a no hitter thru 5ip.
Edwin hits his 41st HR and 120RBI. I'm gonna miss him next year. Great 5 year run of slugging. Avg 38HR, 108RBI and .900+ OPS. Deserves a huge FA contract somewhere.

Fortunately Shapeero had the foresight to sign Smoak.:clap2::rolleyes:

Plus we have Upton to replace JBats.

What could go wrong?

No hitter thru 6IP for Estrada.
Storen shuts down a rally. Well pretty much every pitcher has shut down the Jays in Sept.

Its good that Gibby started Upton and Carrera in the OF. Saunders wasn't hitting so might as well get some defence.

Given Travis's defensive struggles his future may be in the OF.
