There is nothing more I would love than to clinch at Camden Yards. I absolutely hate the Oreos. And not just recent events. I have hated that team, many of its players, theirs fans, the city, their stupid logo, their managers....all of it.

Some of it is justified, some of it is irrational. It doesn't matter. I hate there guts and want to see the Jays dancing and jumping for joy on their mound as they sit slumped in the dugout, dejected, beaten and secure in the knowledge they are going home in a few days.

And if it should come to pass that Jose Bautista gets the game winning hit off of that motherfucker O'Day I will dance a jig on my front lawn on a printed sheet containing their smug logo before burning it as a sacrifice to the God's of Baseball.

True, but I also think the 162 game season is too long. They should go back to the 154 game season.
One round of playoff for 16 teams should more than offset the revenue loss of 8 regular season games for 32 teams.
Interesting point. While the stadiums for the playoff contenders are selling out, the eliminated teams are making no revenue at this time of year. Football has taken over in the US. It's cold and wet at the baseball parks. Almost no one at Camden last night and half the spectators were wearing blue and cheering the Canadian team.

I love you Oagre!!!!!

No homo or anything, I just love you to death right now!!!
Cheers you big filthy freak!!!!!

I cant believe the Jays are on the fringe of winning it all!
KC are stuck in an NL park without the DH, playing an elite team that's in a playoff race while we stomp through the O's and Rays. God is clearly punishing them for throwing at Josh and also for Johnny Cueto's stupid fucking hair.

KC plays the White Sox starting tonight. Last night's game was a make up game.

Shit! Thanks for the info.

But good news: The ALDS series start NEXT THURSDAY. The WC game is next Tuesday.

If we clinch by the end of the O's series, we have an entire week to rest our regulars and bring Tulo back.

Tulo is reportedly taking batting practice already.
I think he'll probably be back in a few days

Here
I haven't been able to find anything... does anyone know anything about Schultz's status?

He hasn't pitched for more than 2 weeks and, except for his outings on September 4 and 12, he was pitching quite well.

I thought Gibbons had said Schultz had earned his way into pitching in high leverage situations?

I think sometimes you can't know something you're curious about unless you're a reporter covering the team and can walk up to the player and ask them.
Probably just a case of bullpen work going to the perceived most valuable relievers and work is more scarce than earlier in the season because the rotation is better with Stroman and Price in it.
I think Schultz came on in a lot in Hutchison games because a lot of times Hutch only went 3 or 5 innings and with Hutch out of starting lineup...

According to this article from September 25 he's not likely to be on the post season roster.

Earlier this year I was curious about where Steve Tolleson disappeared to.
Finally after about 11 weeks it finally emerged that Tolleson and AA were having a feud.
When the team tried to DFA him back in May he claimed he was injured with strained hamstring muscles or something like that and apparently you can't DFA a player while he is injured.
Have to wait till he's recovered to play and then DFA him.
So Tolleson, with help from the players association, was able to collect his minimum MLB salary of about 19K a week for 11 weeks while recovering instead of his Buffalo Bison salary of about 1k a week.

After talking to trainers AA concluded Tolleson was just malingering with a phony injury to keep collecting his MLB salary.

Sounds like executive material.

Sounds like executive material.
Tolleson has a degree in Business from University of South Carolina and he's a certified financial planner; so, he probably knows how to position himself to get money.
He's likely to retire from baseball soon.

Brutal call and even more so as they upheld the original bad call. I'm surprised the Jays didn't go ballistic and get in the umpires face.

Yanks humiliated 10-4 by Bosox, fail for the 2nd straight miserable, pathetic, useless game to clinch a playoff berth or win the 10,000th franchise victory.

(All the hype and fanfaroo about this "franchise milestone" is backfiring as the impotent Yankees just can't seem to win it against a sub .500 team).

Magic # is now 1.

It will depend on how much pitching they can buy.

But ya lots of good young players. We have to see how they adjust when the analysts look for their weaknesses and the pitchers adjust to them.
