The pitchers today were fine...except for their own errors. Have to wonder about all the one run losses. The Red Sox pitchers were excellent today except for second inning. Rich Hill looked like Sandy Koufax after that, and their relievers got job done. I think Mr. Gibbons was out of infielders if we had tied it up in the ninth - Kawasaki would have played second or short....I wonder what Mr. Gibbons had in mind for the other position?

Possibly Smoak to 3rd, Donaldson to SS, Kawasaki at 2nd.

when martin got on...he runs ok, so thought he might end up as second baseman..then he got took out for a runner. How about Bautista at third? would have been odd
Without checking the boxscore, who would've played right field?
Jeff Francis in left, Carrera in centre, Pillar in right?

Price coming in to save the fucking day
We actually have 3 good pitching matchups. Price vs Warren; Estrada v Severino; Stroman v Nova. So we have the advantage going in.

Another shit game. They shouldn't be losing 4 out of 6 to a last place team.
And conversely they had no business winning 20 of 25 or whatever that stretch was. No team has ever played .800 ball for a season. It's a long season. This stuff happens. By the short term reasoning you should never lose a single game to a team with a worse record.

Those starting matchups look good on paper. Severino is too good to get pounded again.

The Yanks will come in pumped. The key will be Ellesbury & Gardner. They got on base against the Mets and instigated things.

The Red Sox are mediocre, except for the fact that they've been 27-19 since July 30th and outscored their opponents by 61 runs in that span.

A Yankee sweep would be awesome, but I'll be happy with 2 out of 3.

1 out of 3 is unacceptable and dont even get me started on 0 and 3
