No originality in the present yet no respect for the way it was in the past.
Almost like they way Star Wars was ruined
Well if you watch the old series it really was bad. (It was decent for the time period it was in.)

Anyone watching the current series would likely disagree with you on your originality comment. You entitled to your own opinion.

Lorne Greene is dead (1987) and Dirk Benedict had cancer and doesn't really act anymore (but it would be cool to see him on a episode)

If they were true to the old format it wouldn't have made it past the pilot.

Impossible of course cause if she was why were they trying to get her pregnant?
The storyline says none of the known models knows who the final five are, so it would make sense that they would treat her as a human.

Actually, I have found the last few episodes slow. I mean who cares about a strike! I have not been happy with the last few episodes. I will watch and report.
I couldn't have said it better myself. As I watched sunday's episode I was thinking: so, it's become another soap opera like desparate housewives....I mean, it had everything there for a while but now....just another soap opera in space.

As for the latest episode: that isn't the last we've seen of Kara Thrace. (try saying THAT three times fast). For the past few episodes we've heard over and over about her destiny so her destiny wasn't to implode in a fighter. As the cylon was saying to her: time for her to go over to "the other side".

As for the current writing. I always used to wonder wtf the writers were doing on other shows where they would introduce a "problem" with a group or individual then never EVER refer to it again. I mean, the sagitarians with the doctor killing them, wtf? They arrest the doctor and that's it? Or how about the refugees in the hold? Bet we will never hear a reference to them again, ever.

Sorry, this season blows dead donkeys as far as I'm concerned.

Ah, ah, ah... Richard Hatch is in the new Galactica as well as the old. The old Galactica was facing budget contraints and racist US network "big three" ABC executives who were criminal corporate pre-Enron pigs. The new Galactica has the luxury of today's interest of scifi, 5 additional Star Wars spinoffs plus SEs, 700+ hours of Star Trek and movies, Alien x 4, Stargate, DVD releases, the list is endless.

The old one would survive is they just redo ALL the special effects, rather than 100x times stock footage. I can see it. And I can see the Lords of Cobalt and Felgercarb!

Eh does the new one have a Daggit??? a dog like bear thing
It does and it also had Boxie, but both were written off. In fact, the Boxie scenes are only in the deleted scenes of the DVD releases. Send 'em both to the nearest airlock.

I wish people would stop whining and bitching about how they have changed this and that of their beloved piece of crap from the 70's, with Loren Green. This version is not a remake its a reimagining, with actual dramatic plots, superb story telling and hot babes.

There is alot of real life issues here that are dealt with in a mature way, the humans were destroyed by nuclear weapons by the Cylons, the humans are a back stabbing bunch but for the most part the Cylons do seem to get along, who are God believing and think its their mission to wipe out the human race.

Mature ? we are talking about sci fi show

It’s a Sci Fi show, interesting it might be but mature? Get Real. As far as calling the 70's version a piece of crap you would not enjoy the new one with out it. You would not have new Coke with out old Coke; you would not have much with out the original.
That would be nice, something good that is totally original and not a re make of the past. Image that! An Original idea and not just a reversion

Oh my - just watched the latest episode which was all about Starbuck. Once again the writers of the show just threw us for a loop.

Did they really just do that to Starbuck?
Finally watched. Great episode! Glad she is dead. Adama crying is a bit melodramatic, he is an Admiral who would kill women and children to maintain control. Anyway, way to obvious, she will be back! You heard it here first!

Ok guys, what happened tonight? I was sort of half watching it. Why did that lawyer guy have all that stuff like the President's glasses and the pen? Did he steal it? All the episodes in 2007 have been somewhat boring to me so I don't really pay much attention.
I missed when he said why he took all the stuff but yeah, he picked up bits from everyone and that is how they found the person who was planting the bombs (he had a piece of a bomb he took from the person responsible).

Yeah, the shows are YAWWWNNNN boring. Bring back the cylons, least they raised some shit......

Yeah he stole them. He also has some really good insite on characters motivation. It wouldn't surprise me if he was a cylon. But with the glasses and long coat, he reminds me more of a matrix character.
