i think asians have it worse in terms of racism, due to blacks being more westernized and having that advantage, but yet rather decline than improve.(which makes them look like they face more racism, when you really messed yourself up)

im not talking about schoolyard teasing either exactly. in adulthood, it occurs quite frequently as well. you can tell, even though its half assumed, peoples eye contact like youre beneath them, or theyre better than you. they dont want to be near you, or basically any affliation with you generally. just a simple observation you see how whites/blacks think of asians sometimes. espeically in clubs... you know asians are the least desired, unless it fully yellow fever night. =)

well with blacks reputation, some of those old school asians cant help but discriminate. if anything, their racism is more introverted, cautious, feeling insecure/scared and even theartened... indians, not too sure, many asians i know see indians quite smart in math/science just like them, but then theres the fob smelly dirty ones they detest... basically dislike and dismissing darker people generally perhaps.

I don't think we are improving, China's quest to improve their economy is hurting us. News articles about putting cardboard into dumplings cannot be good. And what about the news stories about lead paint in kids toys. Not good. Shit like that cannot go on without people seeing asians as shady and money hungry. Hate comes into play when kids get hurt. I'm asian and I don't buy anything made in China if I can help it. When I was small, I used to love those dried prunes, and then my dad told me that back in China, they used to dry them outside and dogs would piss on them. I haven't had them ever since. I have never been to China or Hong Kong, nor do I ever want to go. I will even boycott the Olympics because of the human rights issue.

I also think China is getting really cocky. Comments like 'don't bite the hand that feeds you' said to the US makes the Chinese look like pompous assholes. I know this goes beyond the hooking up discussion, but I do feel strongly about China's practices.

Buddy, you are Asian, whether you are born here or not. So please be proud of who you are. As well, Juk Sing is not meant to be a derogatory term. I have been in with the Hong Kong crowd and I have never ever heard anyone use Juk Sing in a derogatory way. Conversely, they really admire Juk Sing, because they speak perfect English, good at sports, and they are cool.

As for Chinese hate Vietnamese, I don't know why. Not all of them are like that, but then I do know there is a history between the Vietnamese and Chinese back in the cold war days. A lot of Chinese have died and I believe it could have been a reason.

As for dried prune or anything dried, there could be an element of contamination. I stopped having those dried foods a long time ago, it doesn't matter if it is dried prune or sun dried tomato. I don't care where it is from, because I know if you put it out to dry, the flies (the ones that fly around dog poop) are bound to get it.

I think China needs a lot of improvements. Surprisingly, the issue is really not human right, since people are already and to some extent, living freely. Also, one example I can think of is Dalai Lama. He is allowed to go meet leaders of the world without intervention from the government. If China is a country with human right issue, I don't think the Chinese government would have allowed Dalai Lama to do all these visits. The real issue is that China is too capitalistic and that their legal system have not been established yet to protect people and their properties.

Asians are definitely NOT the worst off. I've met so many chicks with Asian fetishes, black fetishes, brown fetishes (fetish is not really the right word, but you know what I mean). Just like a black man in these situations, all you gotta do is 'be asian' and let them come to you. My point is there is a market for every colour in the rainbow.

No matter what you or I think, no matter what you say or what women say, women respond to 2 things: CONFIDENCE AND MONEY. You can bring up the chicken or the egg question now and talk until the cows come home. Money is much easier to MANUFACTURE and that WILL increase your confidence and the figurative size of your balls and the women WILL be able to tell. Now I'm not saying an army of the hottest women are gonna be chasing your shit all over town like the Axe commercials, but in general women can smell success and will gravitate towards you.

I have dated many women, and moreover have many female friends and despite whatever lame characteristics they say they seek in a mate (sense of humour, compassion, sensitivity) - it's ALL bullshit. At a basic, primal, undeniable level, all women want a guy that is successful and can provide at some point. No one wants a wuss. Otherwise, women are looking for security.

About China. Let me tell you a little story. When my mom was a school girl in grade 1, she was forced to take a little governement sanctioned field trip to witness an execution. Then all of the kids were told that if they did not follow orders and get out of line, that was their fate also. WTF is that? The people of China are still not free. They have 'freedom' if you dance when they say 'dance'. If they don't and say the wrong shit they're dead.

About the Dalai Lama. Did China not strongly suggest that Harper and Bush not meet with him and that future repercussions will occur if these 'suggestions' were not followed? Also, what about beating and killing those monks? And a little further back...tiananmen sqare? I am not the only one feeling what I feel. Did you see all of the problems they had with the olympic torch run and all of the the protests?

And I LOVE the way that China controls what their people are exposed to. Total censorship. They did not hear of the torch problems. They did not hear of the troubles with the monks. They even try to control what gets out of the country. Say you want to do a documentry in China, you have to have a couple of officials tagging along so that the people that you speak to fall in line. If that is 'freedom', I don't want it.
