Was just in Vegas. Stayed on Freemont. Discovered the El Cortez. Great place to play. Low limit 2 deck, even on Sat night. Drinks were frequent.

For four days playing about 12 hours a day I was down maybe $500, up about $75 in comps(played maybe 20% at my home hotel) and up about 60 doubles on the rocks.
Highly recommend the 4 Queens restaurant as well. Ate a bunch there just to get meals in and price to quality was worth it. Oh and over 55 age gets you a "seniors" discount of 10%, so why the fuck not.
Been to Vegas a few times years ago, even before Holdem was the big game. Played 7 card stud $2_5. did so well that some of the players quit and then two players joined and played real tight and I found out later that they worked at the casino and were called shills. There job was just to fill a table and not necessarily to win. Also, yes the casinos on Freemont had the lowest stakes in town.

Most of the poker rooms are toast. There is only one on freemont now at the Golden Nugget. Most of the strip ones are closed. A few at locals casinos.

I played in September when I went. Held my own. Played tight as well.

They're called prop players. They get paid by the hour to play.

I recently started playing online Blackjack single player vs. the computer (not live dealer) on the BetMGM site.

Single deck, automatic shuffle up after very hand.
Dealer stands on soft 17, can only split once, but can double after split. Blackjack pays 3:2, no "surrender", double down on any 2 cards against any dealer "up"card.

Playing just for fun. Not going to make or lose any significant money betting $2 per hand, but it's fast as with being just me and the computer dealing, I can play over 100 hands per hour.

However, compared to live blackjack I notice the dealer beats me by 1 or so a lot more than I would expect, and I bust when hitting with 12 to 16 vs. dealer 7 and up much more than it seemed in a live game, whereas the dealer busts much less than I would expect with a 5 or 6 "up" card.

I play Basic Strategy to the letter, as per a couple of well respected Blackjack strategy books, but while I get the odd streak of wins in a session, I get more losing streaks, and almost always end up losing by the end of 30 minutes to an hour.

I've read some comments on Reddit, etc. suggesting that the computer-based Blackjack algorithms heavily favour the house.

Has anybody else had similar or different experiences playing one-on-one computer based Blackjack on BetMGM, or any other casino betting sites?

I would play Live games on the BetMGM site with real dealers dealing real cards from a multi-deck shoe, but with $10 minimums and up it becomes gambling for me, and not just casual fun.
Some online casinos offering Blackjack are legitimate and regulated, while others might not be trustworthy. Before playing, it's important to research the casino's reputation, check for proper licenses, and read reviews from other players. Look for casinos that are regulated by reputable gaming authorities to ensure a fair and secure gaming experience.

I long ago switched to BetRivers Casino, and play their live dealer classic Blackjack games at the minimum $5 per hand, every hand, except when I "double" or "split". I don't play often, but I would say after 20 hours or so of cumulative play I'm actually up a few bucks. I play just for fun, though, not to make or lose anything more than $50 per session. My play strategy is still Basic Blackjack 6 deck strategy, which can be found in many books. The book I use is "Playing Blackjack As A Business", by Lawrence Revere, which is readily available on Amazon.

I have said before, I just can't trust playing blackjack and other table games online. I only play NL HOLDEM POKER, tournaments only with small buying from $2 to $10 and have done quite well in the last few years cashing in approximately $ 3000. However, after ahole Ford changed the rules for online poker sites available for Ontario residents there are only about 6 sites licensed to operate here which causes fewer players. The top site is POKER STARS which has the most players and is as honest as any. I don't like BET.MGM for various reasons.

I can't win at poker cuz I have a zillion "tells". And as the saying goes "If you can't tell who the sucker is at the poker table, it's you!"

Don't trust any card game where you can't watch the cards, and even then don't trust your eyes...

If it’s “just for fun”… then get yourself a deck of cards and and roll of quarters. Play against your teddy bear, or a cup of coffee.
There's been many a time where a teddy has suckered me in, but that was the 80's...

Heading to Lost Wages next week and I'm bound to play some computer black jack if I see any machines. I know they're rigged, I just like to sit down and relax with my pricy free drink and play $ 5.00 per hand. I've seen the computer win 20 times in a row with hands of 17 - 21 hundreds of times. You have to survive big capital swings to play thru that BS . . . Casino employees swear the machines are legit. Come on man, the random generator chip is turned off as soon as the machine sees a sucker insert his $ 100 bill and his players card. That's mine probably ! LOL !

Your only chance to win is play live dealer blackjack. Computer blackjack is programmed to pay out a designated percentage in which the house always wins. Only time you can win is if you hit a double up or a split, quit and take the money and run.

You're definitely right and I don't know why I always sit down and play for 30 to 60 minutes. The free drinks don't make up for the small losses. Come to think of it, I never see any cash out up money. Tourist trap, like the small poker tables, the tourist sits down with their "all in I have $100 to lose" mindset.

I believe that the law in Ontario states that a "virtual" card game must have 52 cards with all 4 suits per deck programmed in, as if it were actual, "physical" cards.

Live blackjack at the regular stakes is a huge rip off with 6-5 blackjack payouts, no even money for blackjacks with a dealer ace showing, dealer hitting on soft 17, continous automatic shuffler, etc. There are some high limit tables that offer "normal" blackjack but they're often $100+ minimum.

I’d say it depends on the site you’re playing on. There are legit online blackjack casinos out there, but you’ve got to be careful. Always check if the casino is licensed and regulated by a reputable authority like the UK Gambling Commission or the Malta Gaming Authority. If not, that’s a huge red flag, and you should steer clear. Another good tip is to read up on player reviews and experiences—if many people complain about slow payouts or shady practices, it’s probably not a good place to spend your money.
If you're looking for a solid, trustworthy option, you might want to check out places like 벳삼코리아. They’ve got a good reputation and generally treat their players fairly, with decent customer support.

In real life In real life blackjack is 1 of the few player games In a casino. Well it always favors the house overall It can also favor certain players.
Digital Blackjack With no Regulation Will be foolish not to be fixed. You automatically lose if the house wishes you to lose. The cards can be generated in anyway The programmer wants. Obviously they want you to win some of the time So you don't realize it's fixed.

I have played NL Hold Em tournaments on Bet.MGM and I find it terrible, main reason is the length of time for late registration and taking up to 4 hrs to play. I find that Poker Stars is the best site for tournaments many taking just 2 hrs or so. Also their site is very reliable for nothing to go wrong such as getting disconnected for no reason.

I truly believe that that website algos are based on your style / pattern of play and betting size. The algo is updated with AI every time you play. I notice that on
the blackjack slots in Las Vegas. The machine/site will give you a few in a row to reinforce the feeling of winning and then it will take you like 5 or 10 in a row. I've seen websites/machines get 17 to 21 hands , ten to twenty times in a row. Every time I play, I play tight for the first 30 to 60 minutes and when I get some free money, I bet it just for fun to possibly double my chip stack and the dealer on average gets a 20 hand. Go figure. I don't believe websites and LV slots BJ are based on a random generator. There are the rare sessions I truly believe I'm playing on random, if I hit a quick profit, I take the funds and head over to the Sportsbook and place a favorites bet/parlay with their house money. Good luck and enjoy and just play small for entertainment .
Fwiw random series can well be long. When they task a human with making a fake random series of 1 and 0s the first tell is that a human would avoid long series of same number

Just an obvious heads up, if you see a post from a "New Member" just realize it's a spammer. Whatever they're promoting gives you a good idea of a site to absolutely stay away from.
