Are online computer dealed Blackjack casinos legit?

Was just in Vegas. Stayed on Freemont. Discovered the El Cortez. Great place to play. Low limit 2 deck, even on Sat night. Drinks were frequent.

For four days playing about 12 hours a day I was down maybe $500, up about $75 in comps(played maybe 20% at my home hotel) and up about 60 doubles on the rocks.
Highly recommend the 4 Queens restaurant as well. Ate a bunch there just to get meals in and price to quality was worth it. Oh and over 55 age gets you a "seniors" discount of 10%, so why the fuck not.

Most of the poker rooms are toast. There is only one on freemont now at the Golden Nugget. Most of the strip ones are closed. A few at locals casinos.

I played in September when I went. Held my own. Played tight as well.

They're called prop players. They get paid by the hour to play.

I recently started playing online Blackjack single player vs. the computer (not live dealer) on the BetMGM site.

Single deck, automatic shuffle up after very hand.
Dealer stands on soft 17, can only split once, but can double after split. Blackjack pays 3:2, no "surrender", double down on any 2 cards against any dealer "up"card.

Playing just for fun. Not going to make or lose any significant money betting $2 per hand, but it's fast as with being just me and the computer dealing, I can play over 100 hands per hour.

However, compared to live blackjack I notice the dealer beats me by 1 or so a lot more than I would expect, and I bust when hitting with 12 to 16 vs. dealer 7 and up much more than it seemed in a live game, whereas the dealer busts much less than I would expect with a 5 or 6 "up" card.

I play Basic Strategy to the letter, as per a couple of well respected Blackjack strategy books, but while I get the odd streak of wins in a session, I get more losing streaks, and almost always end up losing by the end of 30 minutes to an hour.

I've read some comments on Reddit, etc. suggesting that the computer-based Blackjack algorithms heavily favour the house.

Has anybody else had similar or different experiences playing one-on-one computer based Blackjack on BetMGM, or any other casino betting sites?

I would play Live games on the BetMGM site with real dealers dealing real cards from a multi-deck shoe, but with $10 minimums and up it becomes gambling for me, and not just casual fun.

I long ago switched to BetRivers Casino, and play their live dealer classic Blackjack games at the minimum $5 per hand, every hand, except when I "double" or "split". I don't play often, but I would say after 20 hours or so of cumulative play I'm actually up a few bucks. I play just for fun, though, not to make or lose anything more than $50 per session. My play strategy is still Basic Blackjack 6 deck strategy, which can be found in many books. The book I use is "Playing Blackjack As A Business", by Lawrence Revere, which is readily available on Amazon.

I only play NL HOLDEM POKER, tournaments only with small buying from $2 to $10 and have done quite well in the last few years cashing in approximately $ 3000. However, after ahole Ford changed the rules for online poker sites available for Ontario residents there are only about 6 sites licensed to operate here which causes fewer players. The top site is POKER STARS which has the most players and is as honest as any. I don't like BET.MGM for various reasons.

Don't trust any card game where you can't watch the cards, and even then don't trust your eyes...

Heading to Lost Wages next week and I'm bound to play some computer black jack if I see any machines. I know they're rigged, I just like to sit down and relax with my pricy free drink and play $ 5.00 per hand. I've seen the computer win 20 times in a row with hands of 17 - 21 hundreds of times. You have to survive big capital swings to play thru that BS . . . Casino employees swear the machines are legit. Come on man, the random generator chip is turned off as soon as the machine sees a sucker insert his $ 100 bill and his players card. That's mine probably ! LOL !

Your only chance to win is play live dealer blackjack. Computer blackjack is programmed to pay out a designated percentage in which the house always wins. Only time you can win is if you hit a double up or a split, quit and take the money and run.

You're definitely right and I don't know why I always sit down and play for 30 to 60 minutes. The free drinks don't make up for the small losses. Come to think of it, I never see any cash out up money. Tourist trap, like the small poker tables, the tourist sits down with their "all in I have $100 to lose" mindset.
