Now that I have been labeled a fool, a charlton, a fraud and god knows what else let me prove my point about Canadians needing our constant approval to feel good about themselves. Let me take you back approx. one year ago and Conan O'Brien came to Toronto to do a weeks worth of shows here. If memory serves me correctly Canadians were falling all over themselves to be recognized by this pompous fool. It alsmost got to the point where a national holiday was going to be declared. If this isn't proof enough about how much you really want to be americans then I don't know what is. On the one hand you want to be like us, but on the other you hate us. What is it with this love/hate thing.

I have encountered an extreme amount of anti-american sentiment on this board and I am really curious as to why? It seems to me that most Canadians have an inferiority complex when dealing with Americans. I realize that most people around the world wish they could live in the U.S.A. and more importantly be an American citizen, but I wouldn't expect this from Canadians. Being an American and having lived in Toronto for the past 3 years I find it really amusing how Canadians get all defensive about their country. The first step in getting over this defensiveness is to realize Canada's place in the world and learn to accept it. Canada has rode America's coattails, probably since its confederation, and has done very well for itself doing this, but its citizenery must accept that Canada's sphere of influence is limited. As a matter of fact Canada does not even control its own natural resources, as most are controlled by American conglomerates. Canada really only exists at the whim of America. If we really wanted total control, who would stop us. Learn to live with it and thank America don't disparage it. I know the truth hurts!
I am an American and fools like you make me me wish i wasnt. We might be the strongest military in the word but when we try to push our beliefs , morals , politics and all that other crap on other countries in ythe world it is very easy to see why we are hated by so many.

Personally, I think you're an idiot if you think the example you gave has anything to do with a country wanting to be recognized by the other. What happened when Conan arrived best exemplifies how people behave in the presence of celebrities. The same thing happens all over the U.S. when Celine Dion (gags!) does her interviews in the American Markets. One has nothing to do with the other.

I never realized that the American's had a monopoly on wanting to live life to the fullest and prosper. My apologies. I guess the entire world wants to be like Americans.

There is no doubt about it. Canada harbours all types of terorists. In fact the stupid federal government even fights on their behalf as if they have some type of rights. The only rights they have is the right to die and God willing with President Bush at the helm we will kill as many of these pricks as possible. God Bless America!

Cardinal Fang is finally starting to see the light. The whole world truly does want to be like americans. Our influence globally is second to none whereas Canada's influence does not even impact on your own country. You have Quebec wanting to seperate, the west wanting to join us and Ontario stuck in some sort of left wing rut which I hope for your sakes you get out of.

This is really amusing, please go on. Why are you trying so hard to get people to challenge you?

You are such an idiot. You're probably Timothy Mcveigh's cousin or something. You say Canada harbours terrorists....you build them. Who funded Osama Bin-Laden and the Mujehadeen? America has to learn that what goes around, come around. As someone previously said, everyone falls, just like the Brits did, are you ready? Screw terrorists, America does not need external or internal terrorists with Morons like you around!

On the one hand, you seem to hate all the anti-americanism on this board but on the other hand, you love to come back over and over again and participate on this board with your idiotic and pompous posts. What is it with this love/hate thing?

I visit Texas once a year for personal reasons, and I have to admit that southern hospitality really does exist. The people in Texas were by FAR nicer to strangers than people in New York or Toronto. As individuals, the Americans I have met are supremely nice beings, however, the instant you talk about politics or put more than 20 together, some odd sort of mob mentality seems to take over.

I'm not even going to bother "arguing" with yennut or Americanson, I haven't seen any solid "facts" stated worth debating.

Hey Gimme. Why don't you go back to wherever you came from and crawl back into that hole. Thank God we don't let your kind in . It is because of people like you that extra security is needed at our border entry points. You seem to know an awful lot about terrorist organizations. Are u a recruiter or just a member?

When did criticism against you become anti-american, do not hide yourself behind United States of America. You are responsible for your own actions and statements. The responses in the other thread are directed towards you as an individual, not America , you are confusing the issues again. Are saying you are a product of America education and society and criticizing yennut is a direct attack on America?

If you go back to page one of this thread you will notice that in iether the 2nd or 3rd reply the individual starts his discourse by saying "*****ing americans." I don't believe that is directed exclusively to meand if it was I am big enough to take it unlike you Canadians that can't take a little constructive criticism.

Damn! Not three months into the new year and already a candidate for the "most ignorant" post of the year.
