Ever notice that Tim Hortons Cofee tastes different each time you go? I think they are letting the quality slip...

Well, Shake, I'm not going to debate the difference between "sizeable segment" and "some". My point is, we all know the Ugly American is not simply a fictional product of Canadian (or Worldly) malcontent.

Let's not fight anymore, okay toots? Give us a kiss.
Don't fight, let DM's spidey hypnotize you :)

I think to be fair, not all Americans are like Yennut (if he is what he says he is), and not all Canadians don't hate American's as a whole. I saw some valuable responses in this thread from American here that are very positive.

As in all cultures and groups, the actions of a few, ruin it for everyone....yennut painted a bad picture of all American's in his mad ravings. Maybe that was his goal and he accomplished it. My advise is that we take it with a laugh and move on. Canada and America have very good relationships...I am not that familiar with global politics, but I think you would be hard pressed to find this kind of relationship anywhere else. But, its those small group of ignorants that ruin it for everyone. Canadians do this also!

I am not initimidated by the National Post or by their spelling

Your posts show your problem. "Liberal positions are in large part nonsensical". this does nothing to win converts - and it is just an attack. Instead, why not state why you support certain positions. leave the liberals or anyone else out of it.
This is my personal opinion, and have a reason to say it, please don't ask for it. The National Post is one of the most racist papers in Canada and I refuse to buy it and give them business!

Good point. Let's begin to mock him in the most homo-erotic Canadian way possible. Who'd like to begin?

Went through this whole thread and this yennut sounds like a real clown. You gotta give him/her credit though, took alot of abuse and kept going with mad ramblings.

Why can't we all just get along?

The question that plagues us day by day... We always must feel better/supperior to other humans as a result of how the world has developed into countries rather than being globalized...But complaining about where we are won't help so I'll try to help answer your questions about the unique Canadian/American relationship...

Understand first that my perspective is unique... I went to an American military school for three years, along with being born and growing up in canada.... But the deal is important to understand that Canadians don't trust Americans now that the US has gone in a fundamental right direction... Canada is heading in the wrong direction right now, the left is not helping... Look at the indecisiveness of Paul Martin... What a jackass!
This is one of the primary strains on the canada/america relationship... As a Canadian I i love my country of course... However in America its different you LOVE your country... You want to serve to protect it, the history is so much deeper than ours.. In a way our populace lacks nationalism that is created very effectively for America by its past.

Good starting point, i'll write more later

Later

I understand completely how Americans "LOVE" their country and we only love ours. Can somebody explain to me how radical muslim fundamentalists are any different than the whack jobs like yennut who "LOVE" their country. I think given the same opportunities they might come across as one and the same. Just a thought by somebody who only loves his country.

First, I'd tie yennut to the bed and paint him red. Communist red. Then, after putting on my Joe McCarthy mask, I get out my vice grips. While chanting "You miserable UnAmerican piece of shit, you deserve this, you bitch", I would.....

Well, you guess the rest.

There is no doubt about it. Canada harbours all types of terorists. In fact the stupid federal government even fights on their behalf as if they have some type of rights. The only rights they have is the right to die and God willing with President Bush at the helm we will kill as many of these pricks as possible. God Bless America!

no doubt about Can
Does your dad know you are using his TERB account?

... I realize that most people around the world wish they could live in the U.S.A. and more importantly be an American citizen, but I wouldn't expect this from Canadians. Being an American and having lived in Toronto for the past 3 years I find it really amusing how Canadians get all defensive about their country....
I happened to be one of those “off-shore aliens” who had a choice, many years ago, to migrate to either the USA or Canada. After visiting several cities in both countries, including touring through the “ghettos” of those cities, I quickly decided on Canada. After visiting the ghettos in Detroit and New York, then the so-called “ghettos” in Toronto and Vancouver in Canada, I appreciated the strengths, powers and prosperities of the US yet settled for Canada’s more balanced value of life and willingness to share. Call me a socialist - communist - if you will; I made the right decision – Canada is a great country to live in and raise a family, with due respect to the mighty US.

Why would you tour the "ghettos?" Certainly you weren't migrating in order to go live in a ghetto. I know that wasn't my dream when I moved to Canada. Dare to set lofty goals.

Vay-guhss, Bay-bee!
48 pages on a troll?

I thought you guys were smarter than that.

I'm an American and I love Canada. If you had more than 2 weeks of summer and the taxes not so brutal, I'd move here in a flash (probably Toronto).

Canadian "Ghettos" are conviniently located out of sight way up north, so no one has to see them.
They are called "First nation " reservations.

I made the choice to be an American a few years back. I now live in Canada. While Canada has some positives I wouldn't trade the USA for any other place in the world, including my place of birth, Germany.
