I have encountered an extreme amount of anti-american sentiment on this board and I am really curious as to why?
Jean Chretien might have summed it up best when he said "I like to stand up to the Americans because it is popular"

And of course your annoying, condesending post doesn't help either.

Amen to that..finally we are getting somewhere.. :)

The oldest trick in the book of any politician is to divert from your own problems, by pointing out someone elses.

Can one of the mods move this to the Politics forum? This is exactly the type of thread I do not want to deal with in the Lounge which is why I love the separate Politics forum.

isn't this more a sociological thread rather than political?

Maybe. But most of the heated America/Canada discussions are rooted from differences in politics and attitudes towards. Anyway any discussion that starts out sociological will inevitability be political after a few more posts.

Shake, do you actually think that people ever take you seriously. I sincerely hope not. Its pretty blatent that you are trying to show everyone here that you have such a superior intellect, and you throw out some stuff you may have read in NY Times or from some reknown author or whatever, but I have yet to hear anything original. I've noticed that your best defence is to be arrogantly dismissive, which drives any normal person up the wall. Not a move thats in my repertoire but it definitely is a reliable strategy for the uninteresting in order to provoke a heated response. Trust me, I've seen it a million times and your not too bad at it. If I may here's some advice I got once by someone who would put us all to shame. She said that you got to keep'em guessing, switch it up all the time so that your opponent cannot prepare for battle. Its like from that book, the art of war by the Chinese dude Sun Tsu (sp?) it is in your enemies tactics that he will reveal his strategy. Dude, your tactics never change! I was pissing myself while reading through some of your material from the beginning of this thread. We could change the name of this thread to every thread you have posted before (at least that I have read) and you would not miss a beat. Anyway I did say that your not too bad, hell I took the bait hook, line and sinker.

Lastly...yes, yes, you do put a burr in my saddle I'll admit it, but its just cause your so sloppy, your backing this wildchild guy into a corner for misspeaking and more importantly Rage against the machine gets my blood pressure up. The Battle of Los Angeles now there's an album!

Remember this I saved it special for you

I mean really, can anyone deny that this dude Zack de la Rocha is fantastic... I mean look at his lyrics

Here’s an example just a little sample:
How could I just kill a man
One time tried to come in my home take my chrome
I said yo it’s on. take cover son or you’re assed out
How do you like my chrome then I watched the rookie pass out
Didn’t have to blast him but I did any way, young punk had to pay
So I just killed a man

Here is something you can’t understand,
How I could just kill a man

and then this...

one of the many missions that I have to establish
to lite my spliff ignite you with insite so if you ain't down
bullshit. say some punk tried to get you for your auto
would call the one time and play the rolemmodel?
No! I think you'll play like a thug
next hear the shot of a magnum slug, humming coming at ya!

Shit gotta run, tivo'd Idol and I need to watch it b4 it gets too late.

Whoever made the comment about the American empire reminding them of the closing days of the British Empire was bang on. The arrogance is similar, and they WILL be repeating that history.
There's something left of the British Empire (England, Scotland, Wales.) GWB reminds me a whole lot more of Ozymandius - and if I spelled that wrong, I'm just another dumb American, after all.

Nah, I'm not a violent guy. I just started exercising again and bought an iPod. I have never really listened to this kind of music b4 like Rage, Slipknot, Godsmack etc but I find it really gets the blood flowing in the gym its also good in the car to get you warmed up on the way there since its so cold out. I highly recommend Pantera's remake of Nugents Cat Scratch fever and I stand Psychoholic Slag by White Zombie for when you have to do barbell squats. Listen for about 30 seconds b4 you get under the bar and then attack.

As for the co worker he did cause me a lot of grief but he was a loud mouth who didnt care about the anyone around him, kissed up the bottom feeders of the company and always used the same tactics...Always. When I was removed from his division it was a blast toying with him. With some help I could have had him himself, but he was being abusive as hell to my former collegues who happened to be very decent people and didnt deserved to be left to the wolves. Well I would never harm anyone, I'm all talk, but I definitely could not play my games (not saying I'm smart but for reason I got in his kitchen  ) with him as he took it out on the others. I guess I'm sensitive about the underdog and having loud mouths like him bully them. Whoa Deja Vous
