I for one never believed Shack when he said he pulled off tickets from other people's cars. Nobody would do that. Who would believe something like that?
Thank you. That is the reaction I expected. And then on top of that I said "that way he wouldn't have to pay" because he never received it.

Unless you're pulling our legs, what you do is a sick joke.
I think you missed post #119 where I said:

Let me spell it out for you.
It would be a ridiculously stupid thing to do. My reasoning is ridiculously stupid. I have never done such a thing.

You're wrong (nobody123 is right).

You should've at least used a 'roll-eyes' smiley.
That would have made it too obvious.

Not only on TERB, but also very often during my day to day conversations, I enjoy saying really, really stupid things (with a straight face and tone) and seeing what kind of reaction I get. Do people believe I am really that stupid or do they laugh it off as the joke it is intended to be?

It's lots of fun. You should try it sometime.

I saw it happen, once, when I was downtown a long time ago in my university days. A bunch of dipshits were walking near U of T when one of them grabbed a parking ticket off a car, ripped it to bits and threw it in the air. With all the idiots laughing. Morons.

I didn't know what to make of Shack's story.

I think those type of things work better face to face. If people get it I think they would laugh it off. Since those claiming they got it never acknowledged it until after the fact it's questionable whether they did or not. I personally didn't know but those who know you better might have.

Maybe in Skyrider's next retelling he will say he was just yanking our collective chains and wonder how we could be so dumb as to think anyone would really try to sell a used parking ticket.

Like I said before, context matters. If you tell your drinking buddies that the neighbour's dog talks to you and tells you to do terrible things, they'll laugh no matter how straight faced you say it. But if you say the same thing while standing over a bloody corpse, it looks a bit different. Even if you nod and wink. hmmm... especially if you nod and wink. Now have a look at the OP and tell me what possible molecule of a hint exists to help us distinguish his dead earnest cray-cray from your funny joke?

Soooooo..........this thread is becoming about as interesting and amusing as global warming threads, proving that what remains indoors during our brief summery repose from the god awful winter we just endured, are a bunch of nerdologist politically correct dweebsters. Get out and enjoy the sunshine!!!:hippie::hippie::hippie::hippie::hippie::hippie:

Same thing happened to me today....some idiot tried to sell me this parking ticket for $5 & only had less than 1 hour left on the ticket.
I park at this lot frequently dt & asked him when it expires and he tells me he paid the max and that he was leaving. I said sure i'd be interested but need to see the ticket 1st.
He shows me and i politely decline and point out that its less 1 hour left on the ticket . He says oh well i tried. What a Douche!
Anyhow I always pay it forward and give my unused parking tickets away as i know 1st hand how good it feels when someone else returns the favour.

It's the right thing to do. It's a small gesture in a fast paced world we live in. It feels good.

I have done this… I've paid 20 bucks for an all day spot at something like the One of a Kind Show, stayed for an hour, then upon leaving offered my ticket to someone coming in for 10 bucks. It's win-win as far as I'm concerned. But if it's a 'timed' ticket, and there's 'x' amount of time left (at least 20 min) then I have given it away for free. It's all in the context of the situation.
