The joke that is Sanjaya continues for another week. Sigh.

Some people clearly find something very endearing about the little prick. I can see him surviving for a few more weeks, as the obvious weak links (other than him) get whacked, but he'll get it eventually.

He sure can't sing...

It's all business. If there is a market for dude such as William Hung, might as well keep Sanjaya in the game to milk the ratings. He may end up making the most money as an idol wannabe from this batch.

She looked hotter than usual tonight!

Close one though. She needs to keep wearing the mini skirts even if the theme is Amish Folksongs.

LMAO.....

She's ok but she's no Pickler or McPhee

Sanjaya 30-1? Should be like 300-1. How is this guy still there? I would rank Stephanie and Chris better than 10-1 odds.

I agree and I have no fucking clue why.... if you watched the last episode, he had show pony hair.... I mean "little girls" give their "my little ponies" those kinds of hairdo's.... I'd vote him off for lack of style and HE CAN"T SING nor can haley... I don't know what the voters are listening to LOL

I love Melinda personally and Jordan is a cutie :)

He hasn't been that bad actually the past two weeks. He's not talented but he's definately not tone deaf.
Are you kidding me? Did you even watch Idol on the 19th? He's the joke of the show, and a bunch of people should be pissed that he is still there. Funny, one week he is in the bottom 3 then he is safe every week since. Something is wrong with the voting system if 10 & 12 yr olds can vote multiple times in 2 hours because they think someone is cute. ONE person ONE VOTE

I'd rather shove toothpicks under my nails than listen to him another week.

I finally watched this show due to word that Gwen bb was going to grace us with her presence.

The No Doubt /Gwen "influences" theme was cool.

From my limited exposure I have to conclude, at least for me, without Simon there would be no show. Who knows, but I highly doubt Sunjaya will win, so no one's going to be robbed of their AI crown. No doubt he isn't talented, but at least he's fun and has a smoking hot sister.

Haley, no doubt, appears to be one sexy chick, but looked better than in flashbacks.

In terms of talent, I'm rooting for Blake : þ

In case of Sonic Attack on your district,
follow these rules…..
If you are making love, it is imperative to bring all bodies to orgasm simultaneously
Do not waste time blocking your ears
Do not waste time seeking a soundproof shelter
Try to get as far away from the sonic source as possible, but do not panic…..
Use your wheels, it is what they are for
Small babies may be placed inside the special cocoons, which should be left if possible, in a shelter
Do not attempt to use your own limbs
If no wheels are available, metal, not organic, limbs should be employed whenever practical…..
Remember, in the case of Sonic Attack,
Survival does mean every man for himself
Statistically more people survive
if they think only of themselves

Do not attempt to rescue friends,
relatives, or loved ones.
You have only a few seconds to escape
Use those seconds sensibly or you will inevitably die
Do not panic
Think only of yourselves….

These are the first signs of Sonic Attack:
You will notice small objects, such as ornaments, oscillating.
You will notice a vibration in your diaphragm
You will hear a distant hissing in your ears
You will feel dizzy
You will feel the need to vomit
There will be bleeding from orifices
There will be an ache in the pelvic region
You may be subject to fits of hysterical shouting,
or even laughter
These are all sign of imminent Sonic destruction
Your only real protection is flight
If you are less than ten years old,
then remain in your shelter and use your cocoon
But remember: You can help no-one else,
No-one else,
No-one else……

Every year on AI, they do a week of standards, and I am always surprised at how much I enjoy it. I think it is because the songs are so well written, you can really focus on the vocals.

Anyway, as much as I hate to admit it, I think I am starting to get the appeal of Sangaya. Watching him tonight, he actually does have a pleasant enough singing voice. It's very bland and he is definitely inferior to pretty much everyone else, but he isn't God awful.

So, as I was saying, Sangaya's just kind of a likeable goof. He knows he sucks, and he's just having fun and he doesn't take himself too seriously. He understands that every additional week he gets to stay on national TV is a gift, and he's appreciative. I don't think he deserves to be there, but I don't hate him.

Best comment of night, was Simon to Haley: "You've got nice legs". Lets face it, she hasn't worn a skirt longer than the top of her thighs since the final 12 began. I don't think it's a coincidence that she's still around.

As much as I hope I am wrong, I think Sangaya's reign of mediocrity will continue for at least 2 more weeks. He is not as good as the top singers, but more likeable and entertaining than a few others. I think he sticks around a bit longer actually.

Ya how he escaped the bottom three is a wonder. Won't be the first time the American public has f*cked up on this show.

All right! Latin night on AI. I thought the show might suck, but it was a'ight.

I thought Blake was the best of the night. Melinda was solid, but she's starting to bore me. I never thought of Rob Thomas as a great singer, but he sounded like a virtuoso compared to Chris' flaccid rendition of "Smooth". Haley sang "Turn the Beat Around" like a white girl, and that song takes too much sass and attitude for her to pull off. She's still showing skin, though, so she stays for a bit longer.

I think this is a rather safe prediction, but I think Phil goes home tomorrow. He's got a decent voice, but he manages to be bland and creepy at the same time.

Another rather safe prediction is that Sangaya stays for at least another week. If I were 12, I would have thought his performance was dreamy. He tried to sing in Spanish too, so I bet he gets votes from the sizeable U.S. Latino population.

My somewhat more out there prediction is that Melinda does not win this thing. She's a great technical singer, but she is dull and lacks personality. I think both Lakisha and Jordin are more interesting.
