GTA & Thereabouts...
There is always a reason.
Eventually you have to give up and accept the answer given to you.... She's just not into it. Now, more-so as we're getting older.

Is she cheating? I'm going to say NO as she's scatterbrained and a 'Forgetful Jones' type of person. She'd would have become unraveled by now.

When I originally asked, I got: "I just don't want to". I pressed a bit, asking her why our dating life had more sex and she said: "You were duped". Painful to hear.

We've fought about it off and on for years. Last year was the worst... She made me read (I didn't want to) her journal entry which one-sidedly criticized my foreplay technique... I lost it on her and asked how she could expect me to 'better' without communication and consistent sex (4-5 times per year)... [I rarely cum with her, but never criticize...]

After that blow-out fight, she actually went away with her work friends (all girls) to a cottage during our anniversary. Upon her return, I asked why should I even stay in the marriage... She asked me if I still loved her and I said "no"... She burst into tears and my life flashed before my eyes, panicking over my kids and I reversed my comment to "yes" saying I didn't hear her question correctly...

Still no sex, but she's making me my lunch somewhat regularly now...

I helped generate amazing kids. She's a caring Mom and tries for them. The kids are physical specimens, funny and excel in school. It is all worth it.
4-5x per year? Buddy, I was getting that maybe 10 years ago. Havnt had any sex in nearly six years now. I just gave up trying. Everytime it came up it was my fault. I'm not romantic enough. I'm not spontaneous. I don't listen to what she wants. It's hard being romantic and spontaneous when there is no sex. If on a scale of 1-10 (1 being a soulless uncaring doucbag and 10 being a harlequin novel character) I'm probably a 5. Average. Yet there are lots of 1s and 2s that get more sex at home than me.

I hobby now (for several years) without guilt. If for some reason I was ever "busted" I would just say you don't want sex in this marriage so I get it else where, period.

Do a search for The Shogun Method - and "Married Game". Its basically a course on how to Game your wife into having sex with you again - there are different levels from just going to the gym and being a bit more of a catch, to flirting with women, all the way up to making her think you are having an affair. The idea being you will at some point trigger her to bring back the spark in the marriage. Its an interesting course - Ive used it and can say it does work.... but it doesnt necessarily bring their libido back so hobbying might still be useful as an outlet too...

Seeing SPs are fun, but the worst is seeing civilians... I feel fantastic after cheating on my wife as it is real. The flirting/banter, foreplay, sexual success, getting them off and me blowing my load, is like a drug.
Why do you think that seeing civilians are the worst? I’d probably agree with you that it’s very inconvenient for a married guy, but the possible reward could be cumming inside pussy. You can’t do that with SP.

my concern #1 would be: do the kids realize that the relationship is fucked up (which they would at some point anyway) and would the kids be better off with an example of divorced parents or with parents who are together in an unhappy union.
Concern #2 would be whether I should live my only life (or another day really) with a woman who duped me into a relationship and had the audacity to say so.

I love my wife and she has supported me at the lowest points of my life.
She's also gained so much weight that I'm no longer physically attracted to her and she has no interest in sex. She's perpetually convinced that I'm going to leave her. And if I could afford to I would.
If we divorce and split assets, I'll have more money than I've ever had in my life and it's still not remotely enough to get another mortgage. I'd end up moving to a shithole apartment in Hamilton, paying 1600 a month in rent, so I can commute an hour each way to work.
I have a deep sense of feeling trapped and SPs are an outlet for me to have my needs met without having some sloppy affair that makes me feel like shit and paranoid about being caught.

I honestly think my wife wouldn't care one way or the other

I hear u 100 pct. I've done well financially, however because I'm the sole breadwinner in the family, divorce would financially ruin me. Ruin me beyond belief. All men think that when leaving their SO. And it's fair to ask that question. Who wants to be living out of a van when divorced and single.
This way has it advantages. Clean, no emotional baggage, and lots of sex with different women.
This sounds really heinous but sometimes I think it's better to stay married. Maybe she will die of cancer anyway in 5-10 years. I'm just be completely honest . Don't wish that on anyone but maybe better to stick it out if everything else in the marriage is OK.

That is why SP agencies are doing so well, because of sexless marriages.

We need to mandate warnings on wedding dresses and wedding rings like they do on tobacco products.

This thread would be easy to quote from

Would you guys say your wife is still an emotionally supportive person in your life, like a friend? Even a best friend?
My wife has been extremely supportive of me. We are definitely close friends. More like partners in life. And I wouldn't say I'm miserable.

However, she's going through her own things as well and I'm here to support her. that doesn't mean I love my wife less. It means my wife is severely depressed, fat, sexless and pushing her to be more sexually active would do more harm than good. She needs space to work on herself and I'm going to get my needs filled elsewhere.

Ah got you, that's sweet. Even though offensive 😂 but that's the reality of life I suppose. This should be on a Hallmark card
